The Leica Q3 is the first ever 60-MP BSI CMOS sensor with Triple Resolution Technology, allowing for 14 stops of dynamic range and digital zoom options up to 90mm. It features a new Maestro IV processor with 8GB of buffer memory. The new state-of-the-art hybrid autofocus system has contrast and phase detection autofocus with eyes, face, body, and animal tracking.
Tiltable Backscreen
The new tiltable backscreen has a 76 percent increase in resolution compared to the Leica Q2. It has a new EVF with a 56 percent increase in resolution compared to the Leica Q2, now with the same resolution and framerate as the Leica SL2 and SL2-S viewfinders.
New Ports
The camera has HDMI for video recording and USB-C for charging and data transfer. It has 8K resolution output and ProRes video support.
Battery
The new battery offers 18 percent more power than previous-generation Leica cameras. It is the first full-frame camera with wireless charging capabilities. It has 10 times faster wireless transfer speeds than the Leica FOTOS app with embedded MIMO technology.
IP52 Rating
The Leica Q3 has IP52 weather sealing certification despite the tilt screen and new ports on the camera.
