It gives FP2 users access to a dedicated flash communication terminal while keeping the camera system modular. For photographers who want to work with external flash equipment, the HU-21 provides the connection point Sigma specifies for that purpose.

External Flash Support for Sigma FP2

Sigma states that external flash support on the FP2 is available when the HU-21 is mounted. This makes the unit an important expansion accessory for photographers who need flash functionality while using the compact FP2 body. The accessory attaches directly to the camera and adds the dedicated hot shoe connection required for supported external flash operation.

Shared Flash Communication Standard

The HU-21 uses the shared flash communication terminal specification documented by Sigma. This gives photographers a clearly defined connection standard when planning a compatible lighting setup around the Sigma FP2. Compatibility should still be confirmed for the specific flash or lighting accessory being used.

For Sigma FP2 owners building a more flexible still photography setup, the HU-21 adds the dedicated flash connection described by Sigma without permanently expanding the core camera configuration.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0622/3219/9216/files/4e64e51b2f78a52dba82f6123735feae8b00e161959d19c0f3db35e092467654-2bb82b5567dc2c08.jpg?v=1793050927
