High Definition Sound

Semi-open technology design provides the airy highs of open headphones with the powerful bass response of closed designs. 

Varimotion 30mm XXL Transducers

These headphones employ AKG's patented Varimotion 30mm XXL transducers in acoustically tuned vented enclosures with around the ear pads. The circumaural pads envelop your ears nicely and reward you with smooth, solid bass, and well-balanced, articulate mids and highs.

The large size of the transducers makes the overall sound more life-like and three-dimensional to capture the emotional and sonic content of your soundtracks.

Gimbal-Type Suspension

AKG Professional Studio Headphones are designed to deliver hours of fatigue-free, comfortable listening. The headphones gimbal-type suspension enables the earcups of the headphones to conform to the shape and size of your ears. A self-adjusting headband with a flexible steel structure provides a perfect fit for your headphones without any fiddling.

Returns

Returns are incredibly simple. Please log into your account, find your item you wish to return and follow the prompts to make a return. If you do not have an account, click here to find your order and make a return.
You will receive a full refund when you return an item in its original manufacturer’s packaging, undamaged and unmarked. If the item you are returning is priced at less than $35, you will be charged a 15% restocking fee. Please note you will not be refunded any shipping charges. 
You have 30 days to make a return. During the holiday season, from November 1 to December 31, we extend the return window to 60 days. 
If your order has been noticeably damaged in transit, we strongly recommend that you refuse delivery and notify us immediately. Claims for missing items or items damaged in transit must be made within 48 hours of delivery. If there is carrier damage, please contact support@focuscamera.com with your order number and a description of the damage.

We do not currently offer exchanges. Please return the item you purchased within 30 days and order what you’d like instead. 
If you ordered a kit, you must return all components and accessories to receive a full refund. 
If you ordered a product that included a free item, you must include the free item with your return. If not, your return will not be accepted and you will not receive a full refund. 
We currently only offer camera repairs at our Brooklyn store. The item must be dropped off and collected in person as we do not accept shipped items for repair. For more information, please call our Brooklyn store on 1.718.431.7900.

Definitely worth the purchase, especially if you're looking for a lower-cost production/mix/sound design headphone. Also love that the wire is replaceable. Only thing is that folks with longer hair might sometimes get their hair caught between the L/R circles and the headphones, so just be careful when taking your headphones off! Doesn't happen to me *that* often, but would like to spare others the unexpected yank of hair off your head.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightweight, super comfortable, durable These are studio headphones, so don’t expect to have the bass and kick drum pounding in your ears. That’s not whar these are made for. These are great for monitoring, mixing, and even recording. Semi-open, so while they have some external sound bleed, they do not give you ear fatigue from hours of listening. These are durable, too. Probably because they’re so lightweight. They certainly won’t break under their own weight. These are the most comfortable headphones I’ve ever had on for hours and hours. They come with 2 different types of ear pads and 2 different types of cables. Those should be the only parts you ever need to replace. I’ve been using these every day for over 3 years and I’m still on the original ear pads and cables that came with them. Be sure to buy from an authorized AKG dealer. I’m seeing a lot of knock-offs being sold online!!
