Aputure Light Storm 300x Bi-Color LED Light Kit with V-Mount Battery Plate

New addition to the Aputure’s point-source LEDs, the Light Storm 300x is a bi-color Bowens mount light fixture designed to be compatible with optical lens modifiers. This light fixture combines an optical color blending technology with Aputure’s dual-color LED chipset to provide extreme flexibility when used the Fresnel 2X and Spotlight Mount. You can easily adjust the fixture’s white light CCT output from 2700K to 6500K within seconds simply by turning a dial or pressing a button. Suitable for any filmmaking challenges, Light Storm 300x utilizes the same robust lamp head and control box design as the 300d II model.

Flexible Bi-Color Range

Unlike the traditional bi-color units, the Aputure 300x Light Storm LED fixture’s point-source light engine offers a variable-white CCT range of 2700K-6500K. It features a specially designed color-blending optical element in front of its LED light source that works with the bi-color chipset to give you one cohesive point-source. With the expanded bi-color range, you can choose the correct light that will perfectly match your atmosphere, without having to carry various gel light modifiers on set.

Quick and Precise CCT Control

The Aputure 300x bi-color light’s two control box has a CCT control wheel along with an intensity wheel. The CCT dial lets you fine-tune the CCT in +/- 50K increments. At the center of the control dial there is a Preset button that allows you to toggle between 5 common CCT presets (2700K, 3200K, 4300K, 5500K, 6500K) for quick accessibility.

Reliable Color Rendering

The 300x sports reliable color rendering abilities with CRI and TLCI scores of 96+, a tungsten SSI score of up to 85, and a D55 SSI score of up to 74.

Enhanced Output

When used with Aputure’s Fresnel 2X, the LS 300x Fixture can produce over 56,000 lux at 1 meter, creating a stunningly bright light with a wide range to CCT range to choose from at your fingertips. It can also be used with other lensed modifiers like Spotlight Mount and soft light modifiers like the Light Dome II.

Dual Output Modes

The Aputure 300x Point-Source LED Fixture offers two output modes: Max Output and Constant Output mode. In the Constant Output mode, change your CCT while maintaining a consistent luminance level. Combined with smooth 0-100% dimming system, you can seamlessly shift your color temperature in the middle of a scene. In the Max Output mode, the unit will always maximize your output for your CCT and dimming level (highest output range being 4000K-5500K).

Creative Power Solutions

The 300x can be operated with a single battery for up to half of its maximum output, or use two batteries for full power. This model comes with a V-mount battery plate making it compatible with V-mount batteries. The control box accurately displays real-time expected remaining battery life so that you can plan ahead for backups if required. Aperture recommends on using a 14.4V battery that support 15A continuous discharge.

Robust Design

Engineered based on 300d II fixture’s robust structure, Aputure 300x has the same sleek lamp head design and control box design. It utilizes a full 360-degree adjustable handbrake locking yoke. It also features a completely silent, passively-cooled all-in-one control box integrated with the power supply and control system.
