Aputure F10 Barndoors for LS 600d Fresnel Attachment

The 10-inch F10 Barndoors for the LS 600d Fresnel Attachment from Aputure offer a means to control the 15 to 45 degrees beam spread range of the Fresnel. Simply swing one or more leaves into the beam path to light areas you want and to keep light from areas you don't want illuminated. The 8-leaf design gives even greater control than 4-leaf versions and provides clean cuts of light.

Aputure F10 Fresnel

The Aputure F10 Fresnel is made for modular Bowens Mount fixtures. With its wide 250mm (9.84-inch) glass Fresnel, the F10 both immensely intensifies the output of a point-source LED, but also results in a quality of light lighting technicians will find similar to a Tungsten 5K or Studio 2K.

Intensely Bright

The F10 Fresnel functions at its best when paired with the Aputure LS 600d Pro, a 600W Daylight COB LED. Together, this combination eclipses Studio 2K Tungsten lights, and approaches the intensity of 5K Tungsten fixtures at flood. With a combined flood output of 11,440 lux and spot output of 29,300 lux at 3 meters, the 600d Pro and F10 Fresnel even compete on par with higher-powered HMIs.

Dual-Optic Design

The F10 Fresnel matches the unique design of the Fresnel 2X, utilizing a two-stage optical system to maximize light output. Utilizing a rear aspherical focusing element, the F10 Fresnel optimizes the output of an LS 600d Pro to fill the front Fresnel Element, resulting in up to 340% additional output in Flood mode.

Ergonomic Focusing

To ergonomically and precisely adjust its variable 15-45-degree beam angle, the F10 Fresnel uses Aputure’s helicoid focus design introduced in the Fresnel 2X. This seamless design requires no extra knobs or handles. Simply twist the lens ring, and adjust the spot/flood controls.

Minimized Light Leaks

Building on our experience from the Fresnel 2X, the F10 Fresnel uses an offset ventilation design in its heat-resistant body that allows for airflow while minimizing light leaks.

Impeccable Build

Despite its impressive 250mm (9.84-inch) Fresnel diameter, the F10 Fresnel maintains a compact heat-resistant construction. The shell of the F10 can withstand the heat of the LS 600d Pro, and due to its collapsible, and aspherical focusing lens, it can stow away to a depth of 6.8 inches (172.5mm).

Drop-In Accessory Slot

Another of many firsts, the F10 Fresnel is also the first Bowens Mount Fresnel to feature an industry-standard drop-in accessory slot. This heavy-duty accessory slot allows users to mount the F10 Barn Doors on the Fresnel for proper light shaping, and can even fit a 13-inch (330mm) scrim.

Raising the Bar

The LS 600d uses the same light source as its professional predecessor, and its 600W COB LED makes it one of the brightest point source LEDs on the market. With the hyper-reflector, it can produce up to 8,500+ lux at 3 meters, or up to 29,300+ lux at 3 meters with the F10 Fresnel.

Versatile Bowens Mount

The LS 600d, as a member of the Light Storm family, features an inbuilt Bowens Mount for quick attachment of accessories and modifiers, such as the F10 Fresnel for intense brightness and the Light Dome 150 for outstanding softness.

Slim Control Box

The control box on the LS 600d is substantially lighter than the controller on the LS 600d Pro. The LS 600d control box weighs 3.24kg (7.14 lb), which is nearly half the weight of the 5.8kg (12.79 lb) control box found on the LS 600d Pro. The LS 600d controller retains several of the LS 600d Pro's control methods and functionalities, such as 2.4G Remote Compatibility, DMX512 In and Out, and Sidus Link, while losing approximately half of its weight.

Sidus Link App

The LS 600d is an excellent tool for photographers and video artists that need quick access to high-quality output. Using Sidus Link and DMX512 control to connect the LS 600d into onset processes enables producers a strong fixture that smoothly fits into their existing ecosystems with smooth dimming control, no color shift, and no need for scrims to reduce output.

Curved Yoke

The lamp head of the LS 600d keeps the curved yoke of its older sibling since it employs the same structure as the LS 600d Pro lamp head. When used with bigger light modifiers like the F10 Fresnel, Light Dome 150, or Light OctaDome 120, the LS 600d benefits from a curved yoke that is missing on comparable light fixtures.

From 0 to 100% Dimming

The LS 600d, like the LS 300d II and 300x, can dim as low as 0% in 1% increments, giving filmmakers and photographers far more control than typical fixtures and strobes.
