Blackmagic Design 2110 IP SDI to HDMI 12G-10 Converter with 10 Independent XLR Audio Outputs (Black)
The Blackmagic 2110 IP SDI to HDMI 12G-10 Converter in Black offers precise color monitoring for OLED televisions and multi-channel surround sound monitoring through powered speakers. It transforms 12G‑SDI or SMPTE-2110 video signals into HDMI within a rack mount configuration. This device is ideal for color grading studios and cinemas. It accommodates both 2110 IP and 12G-SDI inputs, along with 3D LUTs for precise HDMI display calibration. The converter includes 10 separate XLR audio outputs with remote level adjustment and adjustable delay to ensure perfect AV synchronization with televisions and projectors. Featuring a sleek design, this rack mount converter also has a color LCD for monitoring, menu navigation, and diagnostics. The converter boasts a built-in 2.2-inch LCD screen, which is perfect for monitoring video, audio and status along with menu settings.
Create Professional SMPTE-2110 Broadcast Systems
The Blackmagic 2110 IP Converter is engineered to incorporate SDI devices into 2110 IP broadcasting frameworks. This rack-mounted converter can be placed in equipment racks adjacent to the devices you are converting. However, when using Blackmagic Studio Cameras, Blackmagic Audio Monitor 12G G3, and SmartView 4K G3, it’s possible to establish most of your SMPTE-2110 setup without the need for a converter. Including a converter also provides an affordable method to upgrade all your video gear to SMPTE-2110. Just connect a Blackmagic 2110 IP Converter to live production switchers, disk recorders, streaming processors, cameras, televisions, and more.
Follows the SMPTE‑2110 IP Video Specification
It adheres to the SMPTE-2110 standard for IP video, detailing the transport, synchronization, and description of 10-bit video, audio, and ancillary data across managed IP networks for broadcasting. It can also re-sync SDI inputs to a synchronized PTP clock, or external devices can synchronize to the reference output generated by the PTP clock. Blackmagic 2110 IP supports SMPTE-2110-20 for uncompressed video, SMPTE-2110-21 for traffic shaping/timing, SMPTE-2110-30 for audio, and SMPTE-2110-40 for ancillary data.
Multi-Rate 12G‑SDI
The Blackmagic 2110 IP converter is designed for sophisticated television production. It also incorporates the latest 12G-SDI video connections, permitting connections to both traditional broadcast equipment using SDI and new 2110 IP-based broadcast systems with the same device. 12G-SDI is multi-rate, meaning a single video BNC cable can link to any HD or Ultra HD equipment. It supports 720p HD at both 720p50 and 59.94p, in addition to 1080i HD interlaced standards at 1080i50 and 1080i59.94. For 1080p, it supports frame rates of 23.98, 24, 25, 29.97, 30, 50, 59.94, and 60p. The 12G-SDI also accommodates Ultra HD across all television standards, including 2160p at 23.98, 24, 25, 29.97, 50, 59.94, and 60p.
Utilizes 10G Ethernet
The Blackmagic 2110 IP Converter features RJ-45 connectors for easy connection using Cat6 copper cables or SFP sockets for optical fiber modules and cables. Utilizing straightforward Cat6 copper cables allows for the construction of SMPTE-2110 systems at a significantly lower expense. These cables are uncomplicated, and 10G Ethernet switches are widely available.
Connect Using an Ethernet Switch
In larger SMPTE-2110 systems, such as those used in broadcasting, you can link all your video equipment through an Ethernet switch. In this scenario, simply connect everything to the Ethernet switch and set up the connections between devices via the switch configuration.
Includes NMOS Protocol for Creating a Virtual Router
The converter is compatible with NMOS interface specifications, enabling all 2110 IP video devices to function collectively as a large virtual router. Furthermore, Videohub Master Control Pro and Smart Control Pro can route sources to destinations across 2110 IP networks as they act as NMOS controllers.
Achieve True 10-Bit Broadcast Video Quality
The Blackmagic 2110 IP Converter is built to deliver the highest quality video. The 10-bit standard is the most widely used in television, allowing colors to be represented with four times the precision of 8-bit video. By exclusively using 10-bit video, you ensure that all images are transmitted pixel for pixel as they were in the original SDI source, guaranteeing you always work with the highest quality available.
Compatible with All SD, HD, and Ultra HD Formats up to 2160p60
The Blackmagic 2110 IP Converter is equipped with connections that accommodate SD, HD, and Ultra HD video standards. This capability allows you to connect your current SDI broadcast equipment to newer IP-based networks. For standard definition, the Blackmagic 2110 IP Converter supports both 525i59.94 and 625i50 standards. For high definition, it covers all 720p video standards up to 720p60, all interlaced 1080 standards up to 1080i60, and all progressive 1080 standards up to 1080p60. In Ultra HD, it supports all standards up to 2160p60. The converter automatically switches to the new video standard when the input changes.
LCD Display and Active Cooling
This rack mount converter features a stylish front panel equipped with an LCD display, allowing users to adjust settings directly from the front. The screen also provides real-time video monitoring of all input and output signals. Moreover, the LCD comes with routing menus that enable the selection of the IP source for each video output. It operates similarly to a mini router, but is integrated into the front panel. This rack mount variant is designed with active cooling, making it suitable for stacking within a rack.
Built-In AC Power Supply
The complete rack mount converter is fitted with a built-in AC power supply, allowing it to simply connect to any standard wall outlet.
