Blackmagic Design ATEM Mini Extreme ISO G2 Compact Live Switcher with Built-In Streaming Engine
The Blackmagic Design ATEM Mini Extreme ISO G2 Compact Live Switcher simplifies the process of producing professional multi-camera broadcasts for livestreaming on YouTube and for business presentations via Zoom or Teams. You only need to connect the ATEM Mini to switch live between 8 high-quality video camera inputs, resulting in significantly improved image quality. The built-in DVE allows for engaging picture-in-picture effects, which are ideal for commentary. Additionally, ATEM Mini comes equipped with a variety of video effects and exclusive broadcast features that can elevate your production quality. It supports SRT streaming for fast and secure transmission. You can also synchronize your recordings with Blackmagic Cloud, enabling you to edit your live productions with DaVinci Resolve from anywhere around the globe.
Create the Most Incredible Broadcast Studio in the World
The ATEM Mini Extreme ISO G2 is perfect for establishing a high-end broadcast studio since it includes all the features of the ATEM Mini, along with additional professional functionalities. It features a stylish control panel complete with impressive input buttons. There are three separate video outputs that can be configured as needed. The integrated Thunderbolt technology facilitates live video capture and playback, allowing for real-time effects applications or DaVinci Resolve to enable live action replays. Access to the CFexpress card can also be established over your network through 10G Ethernet. For audio capabilities, it includes balanced XLR inputs, MADI input, and a Fairlight status display complete with menus. Additionally, there’s a headphone jack for monitoring audio. The media pool even includes 200 frames of animation.
Thunderbolt and DaVinci Resolve for Live Action Replay
With the Thunderbolt feature on the ATEM Mini Extreme ISO G2 model, you benefit from fill and key playback, capturing, Ethernet access to the CFexpress card, and trickle power, all through a single connection to your computer. This allows you to use DaVinci Resolve as a comprehensive live-action replay system. DaVinci Resolve can display a live video feed from the switcher, and by pressing the Point of Interest (POI) button, it will switch to playback all 8 ISO files, enabling camera selection and replay execution. You can then preroll and arrange multiple cameras for the same replay, even utilizing optical flow for speed adjustments. Afterward, load your replay into the timeline and share it on social media. No traditional replay system can match this capability.
Distribute Internal Storage Among Multiple Users
The ATEM Mini Extreme ISO G2 serves not only as a switcher but also functions as a shared network disk via the 10G Ethernet connection to the internal CFexpress memory card or an external USB disk. CFexpress cards offer incredible speed, allowing them to handle multiple isolated video file recordings while external network users can edit, perform color correction, add VFX, and manage audio post-production on different computers simultaneously. Furthermore, establishing the internal network storage is incredibly straightforward. You can even sync with Blackmagic Cloud to share recorded media files between editors and designers globally. This means the ATEM Mini Extreme ISO G2 fits into a much broader global post-production workflow.
Expand Audio Capabilities for Additional Microphones
If you’re setting up a podcast studio or require additional microphones, the ATEM Microphone Converter provides audio input expansion. It connects to the ATEM Mini Extreme ISO G2 via the MADI port, which means no complicated setup is necessary, and you can daisy chain multiple units to increase inputs. Each converter comes with four analog inputs that can be switched between mic and line modes and include phantom power. The design boasts exceptional quality with an extremely low noise floor of minus 129dBV, a dynamic range of 131dB(A), minimal distortion of 0.002 percent, and consistent tolerances across all channels. It even incorporates eight separate ADCs for each input to broadly enhance the dynamic range. Plus, it features a fun HDMI monitoring output that shows scrolling audio waveforms.
Compatible with All Leading Video Software
Thanks to its Thunderbolt connection and high-speed 10G Ethernet, the ATEM Mini Extreme ISO G2 works seamlessly with all leading video software, allowing you to utilize familiar tools like DaVinci Resolve for editing and color grading. The Thunderbolt connection facilitates simultaneous capture and playback, enabling you to take advantage of DaVinci Resolve's live grading features to capture video, apply color corrections, and output everything concurrently. Additionally, the ATEM Mini Extreme ISO G2 is compatible with other editing software such as Final Cut Pro, Media Composer, and Premiere Pro, and you can achieve stunning visual effects using Fusion, After Effects, and Photoshop.
Create Real-Time Video Processing Software
For those interested in developing real-time effects software, the Thunderbolt connection on the ATEM Mini Extreme ISO G2 allows you to capture video to a computer, process it, and then send it back to the switcher in real time. The Blackmagic Design Desktop Video SDK enables you to control all video capture and playback via the Thunderbolt port. This SDK is also utilized in Blackmagic Design's DeckLink capture cards and UltraStudio Thunderbolt products. A multitude of manufacturers and developers depend on Blackmagic DeckLink cards in their offerings, illustrating the reliability of the Desktop Video SDK as a robust foundation for creating commercial-grade broadcast solutions.
