Blackmagic Design Cloud Store Max Flash Storage with 12 Card RAID 0 Flash Memory Core (48TB)
The Blackmagic Cloud Store Max offers high-performance flash
storage with a 48TB capacity, featuring a 12-card RAID 0 flash memory core, 4 x
10G Ethernet, 100G Ethernet, USB-C connectivity, and Blackmagic Cloud sync for
global file distribution. Designed specifically for the film and television
industry, Cloud Store models provide efficient network storage solutions. They
seamlessly integrate with Blackmagic Cloud media sync and support DaVinci
Resolve proxy files, ensuring rapid syncing of camera media for immediate
post-production workflows. With its lightning-fast flash-based memory core,
multiple users can collaborate simultaneously, facilitating smooth sharing of
large media files among editors, colorists, audio engineers, and VFX artists.
Additionally, it enables the creation of a broadcast replay system by
connecting multiple HyperDeck recorders and DaVinci Resolve 19, complete with a
status monitor output for added convenience.
For Films and TV
Blackmagic Cloud Store offers an ideal storage solution tailored for the film
and television industry, adept at managing the substantial media files utilized
in these fields. Its robust design caters to collaborative workflows where
multiple editors, colorists, audio engineers, and VFX artists work concurrently
on media assets. Notably, it effortlessly handles massive 12K Blackmagic RAW digital
film files, ensuring zero latency for each user without the need for local file
storage, which seamlessly integrates with DaVinci Resolve workflows. With
support for Blackmagic Cloud, Dropbox, and Google Drive, media synchronization
across global locations is streamlined, facilitating accelerated editing
experiences across different sites. Additionally, it excels in live replay
scenarios with DaVinci Resolve 19, delivering the speed required to handle
extensive digital film files and accommodate numerous simultaneous users.
Blackmagic Cloud sync swiftly downloads proxy files followed by camera RAW
files, even from remote on-set cameras. Leveraging multiple HyperDecks
recording over a network to Blackmagic Cloud Store, alongside DaVinci Resolve
powering playback, enables the construction of a dynamic live replay solution.
Furthermore, DaVinci Resolve 19 introduces new replay features allowing uploads
of replays as social media posts. Blackmagic Cameras can seamlessly upload
footage to the Blackmagic Cloud website as they shoot, delivering clips
directly into the DaVinci Resolve bin. With constant media syncing, Blackmagic
Cloud Store ensures that all network users have access to the latest shots at
all times.
Quiet and Compact
The Blackmagic Cloud Store Max models feature a portable rack-mount design
that's both compact and whisper-quiet. Sporting a full rack-width build, the
Blackmagic Cloud Store Max model is equipped with 12 flash memory cards, a
rapid 100G Ethernet connection, and 4 x 10G Ethernet connections. For swift
file access, the USB-C port doubles as a network connection when plugged into
your computer. Additionally, a monitoring video output provides a live graphic
display of the storage status. An IEC power socket is included for AC power
connection, supporting all international AC voltages for global use.
Furthermore, a separate broadcast XLR 12V DC power input ensures redundancy.
The USB-C port supports Ethernet for quick file access, and also serves for
settings configuration. The 100G Ethernet port allows for expanded access by
connecting to high-speed Ethernet switches, while the flexible QSFP socket
enables connection via copper cables or longer optical fiber cables. With 4 x
10G Ethernet ports, high-speed computers can be directly connected, allowing
for direct connection to 4 separate edit workstations. The additional SDI
monitoring output on the Blackmagic Cloud Store Max mirrors the HDMI output,
facilitating the use of SDI monitors such as SmartView 4K in broadcast trucks
or portable racks. The HDMI monitor output provides real-time status updates of
the Cloud Store, compatible with standard TVs or monitors, displaying a storage
map, speed graphs, sync status, active users, and power status.
Accommodates Multiple Users
The Blackmagic Cloud Store models are equipped with expansive parallel flash
memory cores, providing ample space for your media files. This feature is
particularly advantageous for film and television production, offering high
performance and large capacity within a portable design. Utilizing M.2 flash
memory cards ensures extreme reliability, high access speeds, and zero seek
times. In the Max model, 12 M.2 cards are organized into a massive parallel
RAID 0 group, delivering exceptional performance. This configuration guarantees
sufficient speed to accommodate numerous users simultaneously, making it ideal
for large banks of HyperDeck recorders and multiple editing workstations
operating concurrently.
10G Speed
With very high speed 10G and 100G Ethernet connections, Blackmagic Cloud Store
is very fast. The internal memory core has been designed to saturate the 10G
Ethernet ports to their theoretical maximum speed, even with multiple users
connected. It’s so fast, most computers cannot keep up. Plus file access is
very low latency, so responsiveness is fast. That’s possible because of the
parallel processing used by the memory core. Even at maximum speed, the
Blackmagic Cloud Store is extremely quiet with very little cooling fan noise.
Even when editing large 12K digital film RAW files. It’s so fast, multicam
editing is very smooth, even with dozens of connected editing workstations.
