Blackmagic Design Decklink IP 100G Card with 8 Channels of Ultra HD Video and Ethernet Ports (Black)

The Blackmagic Design Decklink IP 100G Card offers a straightforward solution for capturing and playing back video directly. The DeckLink IP card allows for multiple video channels, enabling simultaneous capture and playback on each channel. This capability allows for the creation of server racks that produce broadcast graphics, virtual sets, or utilize GPU-based AI image processing, fully integrated into a 2110 IP broadcast system. Additionally, DaVinci Resolve can be utilized for editing tasks within 2110 IP-based broadcast workstations. The DeckLink IP is equipped with a high-speed PCIe connection, ensuring compatibility with the latest computers running Mac Pro, Windows, and Linux. It provides 8 channels of Ultra HD video, with the ability to capture and playback simultaneously through 100G Ethernet. There are also 2 QSFP ports for 100G Ethernet, ensuring complete redundancy.

Multiple SMPTE 2110 IP Channels

The DeckLink IP card adheres to the SMPTE ST2110 standard for IP video, which defines the transport, synchronization, and description of video, audio, and ancillary data across managed IP networks for broadcasting. It maintains synchronization of video sources through a shared PTP clock. This card supports SMPTE-2110-20 for uncompressed video, SMPTE-2110-21 for traffic shaping and timing, SMPTE-2110-30 for audio, and SMPTE-2110-40 for ancillary data. A significant benefit of SMPTE 2110 is the independent transport of video, audio, and ancillary data across the network. Moreover, the DeckLink IP supports multicast, an efficient method for distributing video, audio, and data from a single source to various endpoints.

Video Firewall for Full IP Network Security

One major concern with computers on 2110 IP video networks is their susceptibility to rogue software or hackers, as any entity can send data through the computer's Ethernet connection. The DeckLink IP resolves this issue by using frame buffers for all video transfers, acting like a firewall for video data. This guarantees that the DeckLink IP Ethernet port is solely dedicated to audio and video. Video and audio are transferred to onboard DeckLink frame buffers, where playback management occurs before being converted to 2110 IP video channels, preventing unauthorized access to the 2110 IP network.

Fast-Speed PCIe Connection

The DeckLink IP card is designed for high-speed connections to host computers, accommodating multiple HD and Ultra HD video channels depending on the specific model, along with simultaneous capture and playback capabilities. PCI Express technology ensures low latency and precise time synchronization for software handling video capture or playback. The exceptional performance offered by the DeckLink IP card is unparalleled, thanks to its simple and affordable PCIe card-based design.

Supports Various Connections

The DeckLink IP supports both 2110 IP and 3G-SDI connections, allowing connectivity to SDI devices while also engaging with new IP-based systems. In standard definition, it accommodates both 525i59.94 and 625i50 formats. In HD, every DeckLink IP model supports 720p, 1080i, and 1080p standards, including up to 1080p60. Ultra HD support extends to all standards up to 2160p60. Each channel's video standard can be configured independently, enabling instant switching through the default video standard setting in the Desktop Video Utility or the DeckLink SDK.

Achieve Authentic 10-Bit Broadcast Video Quality

The DeckLink IP card is crafted to deliver top-tier video quality. It provides support for capturing and playing back a variety of video formats, including Apple ProRes, DNxHD, or even 10-bit uncompressed, ensuring you are never confined to a single file type. The 10-bit format is the standard for television use, as it allows colors to be depicted with four times the accuracy of 8-bit video. Utilizing only 10-bit uncompressed video guarantees that all images are perfect pixel-for-pixel replicas of the original source, allowing you to work at the highest attainable quality. This results in the clearest green screen keying, flawless VFX compositions, and exceptional color correction.

P10 Codec Enables 2160p59.94 or 2160p60 via 10G Ethernet

It accommodates SMPTE-2110 IP data rates designed to fit within 10G Ethernet per channel, making downstream products smaller, more energy-efficient, and budget-friendly. However, while using Ultra HD at 2160p59.94 or 2160p60, the video does not fit within the bandwidth constraints for uncompressed 10-bit video. The Blackmagic IP10 codec addresses this issue. With the DeckLink IP 100G model, the open standard IP10 codec reduces the data rate for the 2160p59.94 and 2160p60 broadcast standards with just 8 samples of latency. Additionally, it is a compact codec that utilizes very few FPGA resources, ensuring that SMPTE-2110 IP video solutions remain cost-effective.

Supports NMOS Protocol for Creating a Virtual Router

DeckLink IP incorporates NMOS interface specifications, allowing all 2110 IP video devices to function together as a large virtual router. Moreover, Videohub Smart Control can route sources to destinations on 2110 IP networks because it can serve as an NMOS controller. The NMOS specification outlines how SMPTE 2110 devices like DeckLink IP are discovered and controlled on IP networks. DeckLink IP supports IS-04 for the discovery and registration of IP video devices and IS-05 for managing connections between IP video devices. This allows you to establish connections between sources and destinations just like a conventional SDI router, but entirely within the Ethernet network.
