This Blackmagic Micro Converter is a broadcast video converter that allows you to connect consumer HDMI to professional SDI equipment. It's small enough to use anywhere thanks to its durable and compact design!

Micro Converter BiDirectional SDI/HDMI 12G 

This model can monitor in all SD, HD, 4K, and Ultra HD resolutions up to 2160p60. It comes with a 17-point 3D LUT for monitor color calibration. You can also output the 3D LUT on the 12G-SDI loop output! In addition, DCI film rates such as 4Kp24, 4Kp47.95, and 4Kp48 are supported.

Static metadata PQ and Hybrid Log-Gamma (HLG) formats in the VPID are handled according to the ST2108-1, ST2084 and ST425 standards.

Includes HDMI Timecode Support 

The Micro Converter variant is more advanced, with a new Blackmagic Design custom hardware design that supports the technical features vital to high-end broadcast operations. Support for HDMI and SDI timecode conversion is one of these features. In addition, timecode is fully supported in both standard and high definition video formats.

Perfect for Longer SDI Cable Lengths 

On the SDI output, the Blackmagic Micro Converter includes SDI re-clocking. Before the converter sends the signal to other equipment, SDI re-clocking regenerates the SDI video, reduces SDI jitter, and improves the SDI eye pattern. This allows longer cable lengths because even degraded SDI signals can still be used.
