The Brother DS-640 Mobile Scanner is ideally suited for on-the-go, small office, and home office professionals with its compact, mobile design and simple workflow applications. The compact size and portability of the DS-640 combined with its fast scan speeds and image optimization features, make it a perfect fit to be used on the road or to be used in the home or small office, providing compatibility with the way you work. The DS-640 offers plug and play convenience. Use your laptop or PC to power the DS-640 by connecting the included micro USB 3.0 cable. The same connection allows you to seamlessly scan your hard copy documents directly to your computer.
On-The-Go Scanning
Powering the Brother DS-640 document scanner through the included micro USB 3.0 cable to a laptop or PC enables scanning from virtually anywhere and makes the DS-640 highly portable for mobile professionals. It can scan color and black and white documents at speeds up to 16ppm.
Included Software
The software included with the DS-640 document scanner allows you to scan to multiple 'Scan-to' destinations including File, Image, OCR, Email, and cloud services to keep your business moving. The included software suite provides document management and OCR software that allows you to turn your hardcopy documents into editable Microsoft Word files. The software included with the Brother DS-640 document scanner enhances scans with automatic color detection and adjustment, image rotation (PC only), bleed through prevention, background removal, text enhancement and color drop.
Compact and Lightweight
The sleek new design of this Brother document scanner measures less than 11.8 inches in length and weighs about 1.5 pounds, making it easy to take with you wherever you go. It conveniently fits into a briefcase or bag.
Handles Wide Variety of Documents
The Brother DS-640 document scanner allows you to scan a variety of documents including invoices and receipts, up to 72 inches long and on paper up to 72 lb. bond weight. It can easily scan business cards and plastic ID cards through the same location as other documents.
Flexible Business Processes and System Support
It supports Windows, Mac and Linux environments and TWAIN, WIA for PC, ICA for Mac and SANE drivers.

Returns

Returns are incredibly simple. Please log into your account, find your item you wish to return and follow the prompts to make a return. If you do not have an account, click here to find your order and make a return.
You will receive a full refund when you return an item in its original manufacturer’s packaging, undamaged and unmarked. If the item you are returning is priced at less than $35, you will be charged a 15% restocking fee. Please note you will not be refunded any shipping charges. 
You have 30 days to make a return. During the holiday season, from November 1 to December 31, we extend the return window to 60 days. 
If your order has been noticeably damaged in transit, we strongly recommend that you refuse delivery and notify us immediately. Claims for missing items or items damaged in transit must be made within 48 hours of delivery. If there is carrier damage, please contact support@focuscamera.com with your order number and a description of the damage.

We do not currently offer exchanges. Please return the item you purchased within 30 days and order what you’d like instead. 
If you ordered a kit, you must return all components and accessories to receive a full refund. 
If you ordered a product that included a free item, you must include the free item with your return. If not, your return will not be accepted and you will not receive a full refund. 
We currently only offer camera repairs at our Brooklyn store. The item must be dropped off and collected in person as we do not accept shipped items for repair. For more information, please call our Brooklyn store on 1.718.431.7900.

All orders placed by 4PM( EST), Monday through Thursday, and by 11AM (EST) on Friday, are shipped same day. Orders placed outside these times will ship the next business day. We do not ship internationally or to Puerto Rico, Guam and other US territories at this time. For more details click here.
