Aligning your telescope is simple and painless, too, thanks to SkyAlign. This process makes alignment as easy as 1-2-3: just center three bright objects in your eyepiece and press ALIGN. For even easier alignment, attach Celestrons StarSense AutoAlign and your NexStar SE aligns itself! Celestron added their proprietary StarBright XLT optical coating to enhance light transmission making your images brighter and more detailed.

Advanced Features

The NexStar SE is compatible with all the high-tech accessories advanced users love. Provide GPS coordinates to your telescope with SkySync, or add automatic alignment functionality with StarSense AutoAlign. Its built-in wedge allows you to track long exposures. You can even remove the telescope’s secondary mirror and replace it with a DSLR or astronomical CCD camera for wide field images captured at f/2 using a Fastar/HyperStar lens assembly. Celestron Tabletop Miniature Tripod with Folding Legs for NexStar Evolution and NexStar SE

Eliminate the need for your full-height tripod and enjoy grab-and-go convenience when you add the Celestron Tabletop Tripod to your NexStar Evolution or NexStar SE telescope. This compact and sturdy accessory is half the size and weight of a standard tripod, making it perfect for travel. The low-profile legs and wide footprint offer added stability, while the convenient tabletop design makes it easier for some observers (especially children) to access the eyepiece.
Setup
The setup is quick and easy compared to a full-height tripod. Simply place the Tabletop Tripod on a camp table, bench, tailgate, or any other flat surface. With a footprint of just 17.5 by 16 inches, you can use it just about anywhere. Then, open and level the tripod legs, attach the mount and telescope and observe.
Features
The Tabletop Tripod has adjustable knobs on each leg and a bubble leveler on the mounting plate to ensure your setup is level before adding the telescope. Just like the NexStar SE and NexStar Evolution’s standard tripod, the Tabletop Tripod has three captured screws on the underside of the mounting plate so you can securely lock your mount and telescope in place. When not in use, the Tabletop Tripod’s legs fold inward and stow neatly under the mounting plate for easy storage and transport.
