The DJI SDR Transmission Combo redefines video transmission optimizing the use of Software-Defined Radio technology. Experience seamless wide-area stable transmission with robust penetration, devoid of interference. It enables the use of Wi-Fi transmission as well to offer added flexibility while taking care of temporary monitoring. With this Transmission Combo, expect to reach an unbelievable feat of 3 kilometers per 10000 feet. With its advanced penetration capabilities, meets on-site live feed monitoring demands. The combo includes a transmitter, a receiver and mounting plates, and necessary peripherals. It offers a 20mbps high bitrate and supports 1080p per 60fps live feeds.
Auto Frequency Hopping
The DJI Transmission System allows seamless auto frequency hopping across several frequency bands - 2.4 GHz, 5.8 GHz, and DFS. If it encounters interference, it can switch to the optimal channel, thereby prudently solving sticky environmental situations.
Connects to Several Receivers
When kept in broadcast mode, each transmitter can connect to an unlimited number of receivers. This offers the option of high-quality video monitoring with multiple collaborators to meet the needs of a range of professional demands.
Low-Latency Transmission and Metadata Transmission
With a low-latency transmission of 35ms, this combo assures you of smooth monitoring and collaboration. It allows metadata transmission from mainstream cinema cameras like RED and ARRI via SDI. This lets directors, cinematographers, and DIT teams gain access to detailed shooting information.
Voice-Call Ready
The DJI SDR Transmission combo offers the advantage of one-on-one real-time communication between the receiver and transmitter for seamless conversations during shoots.
Lightweight Design
With a single receiver or transmitter weighing 145 grams, the transmission combo boasts a lightweight design with foldable antennas that enable easy storage. It also supports various mounting methods.
Multiple Monitoring Methods
DJI SDR Transmission supports several monitoring methods and can output up to three SDR signals and two Wi-Fi signals simultaneously. The receiver can output to monitors using SDI or HDMI. The transmitter even allows for direct connectivity to tablets and smartphones. This process is not only cost-effective but also ensures smooth dual-monitoring at ease without the need for a receiver. This process is not only cost-effective but also ensures smooth dual-monitoring at ease without the need for a receiver. The transmission system makes use of a USB-C output monitoring method to offer stable transmission.
Camera Index Switching
Connect the transmission combo to the DJI Ronin app in broadcast mode. This enables seamless switching between camera indexes within the app.
Local Recording and Playback
The Ronin app supports local recording, and the recorded content can be later reviewed on the playback page. The Ronin app supports mainstream monitoring assistance tools be it LUT, peaking, waveform, or false color, to deliver a professional experience. The transmission combo even supports Force Mobile, virtual joystick, and gimbal recentering functions. This transmission system supports PTP control over cameras, display and adjustment of aperture, shutter, ISO, and even triggering the camera's photo-taking and video-recording functions through the app. It also supports CEC control for cameras manufactured by Sony to enable Mirror Control mode into play.
Ports
The transmitter features a USB-C port, a USB-C power and gimbal communication port, a USB-C firmware update port, a 3.5mm stereo jack, an HDMI input port, and an SDI input port. On the other hand, the receiver features a USB-C port, a USB-C firmware update and a video output port, a USB-C power port, a 3.5mm stereo jack, an HDMI output port, and an SDI output port.
Versatile Power Options
Making use of the integrated power supply design, when used with DJI RS 4 Pro, DJI RS 4, or DJI RS 3 Pro, the SDR Transmitter Combo can be mounted on a gimbal for charging. Alternatively, the transmitter and receiver both support industry-standard NP-F batteries. These batteries provide a voltage range from 6.8 to 8.4 V. The transmission combo can also be powered via USB-C power supply. It can be powered through a standard PD protocol charger that has a USB-C power input rated at 9 V and 2 A.
