Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS STM Lens

Canon's EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS STM Lens is a compact and versatile telephoto zoom lens. It offers a 35mm equivalent focal range of 88-400mm. Its optical performance is bolstered by the incorporation of Optical Image Stabilization, which reduces the appearance of camera shake by up to 3.5 stops of shutter speed. This means that you can effectively shoot handheld in low-light situations where you could not before. The STM stepping motor achieves precise and virtually silent focus, making this a perfect choice for many video applications, as well as tracking moving subjects. Canon designed this lens with one Ultra Low Dispersion glass element in order to combat chromatic aberrations across the entire range. There are special lens coatings that help keep ghosting and flare to a minimum. This lens creates a 27 degree 50 feet - 6 degree 15 feet angle of view, 2.79-feet minimum focusing distance and accepts 58mm filters.

Optical Image Stabilizer (IS)
