Leica S3 Medium Format DSLR Camera Body
The Leica S3 Medium Format Camera comes with a ProFormat medium-format sensor offering up to 64 megapixels resolution. Measuring 30x45mm in size, the sensor corresponds to the aspect ratio of a classic 35mm format while offering a 56% larger light-sensitive surface area. With expanded 4K video capabilities and dramatic imaging properties, the Leica S3 Camera is suitable for both studio as well as on field applications. This is a camera body only model with Leica S-Bayonet lens system and is equipped to meet the needs of any professional in need of a workhorse system. You can choose from up to 16 lenses, some are equipped with Central Shutters for high-speed flash sync.
Leica ProFormat Sensor
The S3 Medium Format Camera features a Leica ProFormat 30x45mm sensor with up to 64 megapixels of resolution. This sensor offers a light-sensitive surface area that is 56% larger than the classic 35mm format. The wide ISO range of 100-50,000 allows you to capture sharp, tonal images in any lighting environments.
Medium Format Video
The Leica CMOS sensor combined together with Maestro II series image processor lets you shoot professional video footage in both 4K cinema and full-HD resolutions. Utilizing full width of the sensor at every resolution, the camera can record videos in special and unique medium format look.
DNG (Digital Negative) Format
DNG format is a standardized cross-brand format that is not tied to a specific RAW data converter and can be read by the majority of image processing software packages. Image data captured by Leica S3
DSLR can be saved in this format for seamless integration into the existing working environment. A 90- day trial subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud Photoshop and Lightroom is included with this camera body.
Autofocus System
The lens and the camera act together as a perfect unit to achieve sharp, clear images. The Leica S3 Medium Format comes with an improved autofocus system that allows for quick and smooth focusing to achieve optimum image sharpness. It also allows for corrections made in the very last fraction of a second. The camera’s focus system also recognizes all movements of a subject throughout the focusing process, making it perfect for capturing moving objects.
