Peak Design PL-D-2 Dual Plate (Black)

Dual Plate lets you remove your Camera from Capture (sold separately) and stick it directly into most Manfrotto RC2 tripod heads. Dual Plate earns its name because it also works in most Arca-type tripod heads. Fits in Capture in 2 directions and contains 2 loops for Peak Design Anchors. Durable machined/anodized construction 2-way Capture compatibility. The new connection screw slot allows more positioning options, preventing interference with lenses, screens, and battery compartments.

Returns

Returns are incredibly simple. Please log into your account, find your item you wish to return and follow the prompts to make a return. If you do not have an account, click here to find your order and make a return.
You will receive a full refund when you return an item in its original manufacturer’s packaging, undamaged and unmarked. If the item you are returning is priced at less than $35, you will be charged a 15% restocking fee. Please note you will not be refunded any shipping charges. 
You have 30 days to make a return. During the holiday season, from November 1 to December 31, we extend the return window to 60 days. 
If your order has been noticeably damaged in transit, we strongly recommend that you refuse delivery and notify us immediately. Claims for missing items or items damaged in transit must be made within 48 hours of delivery. If there is carrier damage, please contact support@focuscamera.com with your order number and a description of the damage.

We do not currently offer exchanges. Please return the item you purchased within 30 days and order what you’d like instead.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does Not Work with 234RC Head I bought this plate and a Manfrotto 234RC monopod head because Peak's compatibility sheet says that the dual plate works on this head. It doesn't. The plate only goes on the head with the camera lens facing to the side of the tripod head, which renders it totally useless because the head pivots forward. Peak's claim that the dual plate is compatible with this head is utter nonsense. Now, I have to return the head and the dual plate and purchase a standard plate and an Arca-Swiss style head. Peak Designs' carelessness has just wasted a lot of my time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product. Feels solid and secure. Fits in all my tripods which is great. Just wish the anchors wouldnt occassionally make it difficult to align the plate on the tripod since its on the side corners. But thats a pretty minor gripe.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than my Manfrotto plate Amazingly, this is much easier to use on my Manfrotto tripod than the original Manfrotto plate, which was stiff. This must be fractionally smaller (but still totally solid) which makes using it a breeze.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Get it This plate is awesome and is like a leatherman of camera plates, I keep one in my grip bag when assisting because chances are that if someone forgets a camera plate, this one will fit the tripod. Very well build although the paint does wear off around points of contact after a few months, although to be fair I never made any effort to keep it scuff-free or clean of scratches.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dual Plate - The Best! I own several of these Dual Plates. Absolutely the best solution for those who like the option to run both Arca Swiss and Manfrotto style setups. No need for the annoying issue of changing out plates just to change mount systems. Just jump back and forth between either with this piece of equipment. Example: The Dual Plate works perfect when I’m running my Vamguard Arca Swiss window mount and decide to jump out of the truck and set up my Manfrotto pan head set up on a tripod. The Dual Plate allows you to run your favorite option of mount without the added time of having to change out the plate. Great quality and great service! Thanks Peak Design!
