WG-1000 All-Weather Compact Camera. The WG-1000 is intended for recreational
underwater photography with a maximum operating depth of 49.2 feet (15 meters)
and up to an hour. It's robust and lightweight, perfect for a variety of
land-based sports. It can withstand falls up to 6.5 feet (2 meters) and is
shockproof against dirt and stains. With a focal-length coverage of 4.9 mm to
19.6 mm (or around 27 mm to 108 mm in the 35mm format), the WG-1000 has a 4x
optical zoom lens. The camera's zoom range can be increased by about 24 times
when used in conjunction with its Digital Zoom feature to capture
high-magnification zoom shots. Its 16.35-megapixel CMOS back-illuminated image
sensor produces photos with exceptional clarity, sharpness, and high
resolution, even at extremely high ISO 3200 sensitivity. Users can apply their
own aesthetic to the final shots and enhance their images based on their
shooting surroundings with seven different image capture modes and multiple
color choices. Available in a Olive finish, the WG-1000 comes with a carabiner
strap and a protector jacket, which helps protect the camera body from
scratches.
Sturdy All-Weather Body for Water and Dust Protection
The WG-1000 has a sturdy all-weather body that is built to be dustproof against
dirt and stains, shockproof against falls from heights of up to 6.5 feet (two
meters), and waterproof down to a depth of 49.2 feet (15 meters) for up to an
hour of continuous operation. It can be applied to many different situations
and tasks, even under difficult, demanding circumstances. The WG-1000 can be
used safely in medical institutions and workplaces by sterilizing it with
solutions including ethanol, sodium hypochlorite (authorized as a disinfectant
of food additives), or chlorine dioxide.
Crisp, Clear Pictures
With its back-illuminated CMOS image sensor, which has an effective megapixel
count of about 16.35, the WG-1000 produces photos with exceptional high
sensitivity and minimal noise, as well as fast image data reading, even at
extremely high ISO 3200 sensitivity.
Zooming and Coverage
With a four-times optical zoom lens that covers a focal-length range of 4.9 mm
to 19.6 mm (about comparable to 27 mm to 108 mm in the 35mm format), the
WG-1000 is suitable for a variety of uses. For high-magnification zoom
photography, the zoom range of the camera can be expanded by about 24 times
when used in conjunction with the Digital Zoom feature.
Seven Capture Modes to Select From
The WG-1000 offers seven unique capture modes: Underwater Mode, which reduces
the bluish color cast to recreate true-to-life underwater colors; Auto Mode,
which detects a given scene or subject and chooses the most appropriate
shooting mode; Manual Mode, which allows the user to manually select the
desired aperture, shutter speed, and ISO sensitivity; and Scene Mode, which
allows the user to choose the desired scene mode from 18 options.
Personalize Your Photos
With its 20 color options, the WG-1000 lets you give your photos the perfect
finishing touch. It offers more imaginative options in addition to the standard
Black and White and Sepia modes. These include Japan Style, which intensifies
blue tones, Italian Style, which intensifies green tones, French Style, which
intensifies red tones, Negative, which adds a final touch akin to negative film
before a positive is made, and Sketch, which adds a visual effect akin to a
drawing. With Sketch, adding the perfect finishing touch is simple and can be
done before or after filming.
Complete HD Film Capturing
High-definition, longer movie clips (1920 x 1080 pixels, 16:9 ratios) can be
recorded in full HD at a frame rate of 30 frames per second with the H-264
recording standard.
Additional Features
Camera shake is successfully compensated for while shooting still images using
the anti-shake mode. The included accessory, the O-CC180 Protector Jacket,
protects the camera body from scratches. Using the O-ST180 Carabiner Strap - which
comes as a standard accessory - you can suspend the camera from a backpack and
carry it about. With the optional O-ST174 Neck Strap, two strap lugs allow you
to hang the camera horizontally at two different locations.
