Every Profoto Softbox features a recessed front where a softgrid can be attached. The light spread is decreased to 50 degrees with the Profoto 1 x 4-Feet Softgrid. To put it another way, it produces more focused light and reduces spill light significantly, giving you even more control over how the light is shaped. A softgrid can assist in increasing contrast in your photos, giving them a more dramatic and moody appearance by reducing the spread of light. It is particularly helpful for minimizing spill light when you need to prevent lighting the surrounding areas or the background. The Profoto Softbox line is compatible with the softgrid, which has Hook-and-loop Fastener attachments for quick and easy setup. The RFi, OCF, and Clic Softbox ranges are not compatible with the softgrid.
