An addition to Rokinon’s renowned cine lenses, the new Cine DSX lens series boasts an upgraded compact and sleek design with matte black finish, a rounded nine-blade aperture that allows for smoother circular bokeh, and a weather sealed lens mounts that helps protect the most vulnerable gap between the lens and camera mount from harsh elements. Suitable for a variety of DSLR, Mirrorless, and Cine camera systems, the Rokinon 50mm T1.5 Cine DSX High Speed Cine Lens offers full frame coverage and fast T1.5 aperture for shooting in low-light situations. This model comes with a Sony E mount. The Rokinon Cine DSX lenses are an ideal choice for independent filmmakers, project directors, and professional cinematographers.
Optical Design
The lens’ optical design uses 9 elements in 6 groups featuring one Aspherical and one Hybrid Aspherical elements that reduce aberrations to produce clear and vibrant images. An UMC coating applied to lens elements improves light transmission and suppresses lens flare and ghosting giving you amazing contrast-rich, color-neutral images.
Enhanced Design
Focusing and aperture gears for Rokinon Cine DSX Lens have been designed to be smoother to the touch for enhanced comfort when pulling focus by hand. Plus, its de-clicked apertures allow for precise, smooth and silent operation. The lens features industry-standard 0.8MOD gearing that allow for easy gear placement enabling fast lens changes when using follow focus devices. For added convenience, lens focal length markings are visible from the sides of the lens, while left and right side focusing and aperture scales can be accessed from either side. A non-rotating front design lets you use polarizers and hoods that won’t interfere with the lens operation.
