Rated 4 out of 5 by lilvicious from Great Drive, Faulty Cables This isn't my first G-Drive. They're great. Mty issue was with the supplied usb cables. Specifically the usb-a to usb-c cable. It was unusable and had me scratching my head over 4 hour transfer speeds for 11 gb of data. Swapped the cable to something I had laying around the house and boom I was in business. Lightning fast. Is a good quality usb cable to much of an ask? Seriously disappointed.

This new SSD is great as it is smaller and faster and totally quiet. I am using it with a 2021 iMac 24". I really appreciate that with the new iMac using an SSD and the G-drive being an SSD, then when Time Machine does its backup I do not notice, it does not effect performance.
