The Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG HSM OS Contemporary Lens was created around the concept of maximum portability meets utmost image quality in a variable aperture hyper-telephoto zoom lens. The 150-600mm Contemporary lens boasts updated Sigma technology such as a quiet and optimized Hyper Sonic Motor (HSM) and Optical Stabilizer (OS) with an accelerometer for improved panning photography both vertically and horizontally, essential for birding, wildlife and motor photography. The Sigma 150-600mm Contemporary also touts a new zoom lock switch that can be locked at any focal length and a new manual override (MO) switch is incorporated for improved focusing control. Working with the Sigma USB dock, this lens allows for maximum customization such as firmware updates and adjustments to the focus limiter, AF speed and OS view.

The dock is only compatible with the Sigma Art, Contemporary, and Sports line lenses featuring a Nikon F lens mount. For the Sports category, changes can be made to: Autofocus speed, focus limiters, manual focus override and optical stabilization functionality. Updating the firmware can be done via the internet. Sigma Photo Pro is available for Mac and PC computers.

AF Speed and Optical Stabilizer Modes

For all lines of lenses, there are four categories for prime lenses and 16 categories (four options for focal length, four options for shooting distance) for zoom lenses available. These categories allow you to set up certain focusing settings to better suit your personal shooting style. If using a Sports line lens, additional lens configurations are also available. The dock features three different AF speed modes to modify how quickly the lens changes focus. You can also constrain focus distances within a specific range to suit your personal shooting habits.
