The TC-2001 from Sigma is a 2x Teleconverter specifically designed for Canon EF mounts. Designed with 2 Special Low Dispersion glass elements, you will experience superb image quality. This teleconverter increases the focal length by 2x for select Global Vision Sigma lenses. It employs full communication between the lens and camera, allowing the autofocus to operate at up to f/8. Sigma constructed this teleconverter to be dust and splash proof so you can shoot confidently in a variety of challenging conditions. When attached, the 2x conversion factor results in a light loss of approximately two stops. This teleconverter offers wide compatibility, even when working with large-diameter lenses. SLD Glass Elements

TC-2001 incorporates 2 SLD (Special Low Dispersion) glass elements. By minimizing chromatic aberration effectively, it has achieved very good optical performance, thus it is possible to maintain the optical quality of the original lens.

AF is Effective up to f/8

When the Sigma Teleconverter is attached to cameras that are compatible with AF at F8, it is possible to shoot with AF.

Ease of Use
