Optical Features

The Vortex Solo R/T 8x36 Monocular features fully multi-coated lenses which increase light transmission with multiple anti-reflective coatings on all air-to-glass surfaces. The dedicated roof prism houses an objective lens with a diameter of 36mm and can magnify up to 8 times the normal view. Ranging MRAD Reticle

The Solo R/T contains the Ranging MRAD Reticle that is designed for quick calculation to maximize long-distance ranging abilities. It was marked using Mil-Dot based subtension lines for ranging, holdover, and wind corrections; the ultra-precision laser etching on the glass reticle is kept to the tightest tolerances. Pre-ranged 300, 400, 500, and 600 meter standard man-sized silhouettes give you a reference point to more accurately track your subjects and measure your range.

Construction

Don't worry about the weather because the 8x36 monocular is waterproof and prevents fogging so you can see at longer distances for longer periods of time. The monocular is sealed with O-rings to prevent moisture, dust, and debris from getting inside the barrel. The barrels are filled with Nitrogen gas to inhibit internal fogging and other obstructions.
