Automated Axis Locks

The design of RS 3 Pro is such that it weighs the same as RS 2 at just 1.5 kg/3.3 lbs. But its load capacity is a robust 4.5 kg/10 lbs, delivering powerful support in a lightweight body.

Wireless Shutter Control

RS 3 Pro is equipped with Dual-Mode Bluetooth technology to achieve an efficient and reliable wireless shutter control. You can also do Bluetooth pairing through which you can control video and photo shooting by pressing the record button on the stabilizer. Instant Mode Switching

Alternate between Pan follow Pan and Tilt follow, and FPV modes by sliding the new Gimbal Mode Switch. The FPV mode selection is also customizable to 3D Roll 360, Portrait, or Custom, allowing you to adjust your equipment and get started fast.

It features a built-in 1.8-inch OLED full-color touchscreen that is 28% bigger than RS 2. Through this touchscreen, you can conveniently set parameters, check shooting status, and frame your tracked subjects. Every setting is more intuitive and precise. This screen offers higher brightness than the LCD screen of RS 2 with lower power consumption.

Sleek Carbon Fiber Construction

The arms of  RS 3 Pro are constructed from layered sheets of uncut carbon fiber. This makes it lighter and stronger, increases stiffness, and lowers the weight to cope with even more demanding shooting environments.

LiDAR Assistance

RS 3 Pro features Ronin 4D’s LiDAR focusing technology that can project 43,200 ranging points within a 14-meter distance. It features a built-in camera with an equivalent focal length of 30 mm and a wide FOV of 70-degree, catering to the focusing needs of most scenarios. RS 3 Pro supports Wide Mode and Spot Mode. Under Wide Mode, the range finder automatically detects the subject and follows focus and under Spot Mode users can manually frame or tap the subject to focus.

All-New Focus Motor

The DJI RS Focus Motor (2022) provides reduces noise by 50% and torque three times stronger (up to 1 N·m). This brings a smoother focusing experience and reduces the effect on audio recording.

The α7S III can record 10-bit 4:2:2 video internally when using Long GOP or All Intra compression, making it possible to grade for fuller, more natural gradations while generally providing greater editing freedom. The maximum frame rate when recording full-frame 4K is 120p5.

Efficient MPEG-H HEVC/H.265 Coding

In addition to Sony’s common XAVC S (MPEG-4 AVC/H.264) codec found on current models, the α7S III adds XAVC HS format recording21 using the MPEG-H HEVC/H.265 codec for approximately twice the efficiency of XAVC S.
