The FJ400 offers Manual and TTL Flash Modes, High-Speed Sync (HSS) up to 1/8000s, Freeze Sync up to 1/19000s, Continuous Capture up to 20 fps, Mask Function, Delay Function, Automatic Memory Recall, Rear Curtain Sync, compatibility with Canon RT flash, group and channel assignment, Group Exposure Compensation, and many other features. It also has an intuitive menu system and LCD color display. The USB-C cable that comes with the strobe can be used to upgrade its firmware.

Support for Dedicated Sony Cameras

Optimized for Light Modifiers

The expanded flash tube's ideal light output enables filling light modifiers to have a wider, more uniform spread of light. The Bowens S-Type mounting system on the FJ400 makes it simple to use your preferred softbox with it. The FJ400 comes with a Rapid Box Switch Bowens Insert that enables you to link your strobe with any Rapid Box Switch light modulator as well as a Magnetic 5-inch Reflector, Magnetic CCT Gel Set (CTO, 1/2-CTO, Window Green, Diffusion, Gel Frame), and Magnetic CCT Gel Set. Large umbrellas and modifiers can be mounted and positioned securely using the built-in tilter bracket with a tension screw.

Color Temperature Consistency

With flash increments of either 0.1 or 1.0 stops, the FJ400 maintains a color temperature constancy of 5500K (150K) throughout its entire 9-stop output range. It has a 20W 5600K LED modeling lamp with separate output control and auto-adjustment.

For safe operation while in use, the FJ400 strobe has onboard self-monitoring cooling fans and an automatic shutoff mechanism.
