The Light Dome II is Aputure’s flagship light shaping tool. An upgrade from the First Generation Light Dome, the Light Dome II features even higher quality diffusion fabric, a rapid build and breakdown system, an included honeycomb eggcrate, and several more new additions.
Advanced Diffusion Materials
The Light Dome II comes with two layers of ultra-soft diffusion material, Magic Cloth and Silk Cloth. Combined, these materials turn your hard COB light into a beautiful soft light that provides a very even wrap around your subject. This makes the Light Dome II a perfect accessory for portraits, interviews, documentaries, music videos, and narratives.
Quick Setup
This softbox features a quick-release speed ring that lets you easily install and disassemble the dome in less than a minute. It perfectly suits creatives who are on fast-moving sets and require a diffusion solution that can be rapidly set up.
Perfectly Round Catchlight
The 34.8-inch Light Dome II uses 16 rods which create 32 points of axis, allowing an exceptionally round beam of light that is almost a perfect circle. Combining this with the Aputure COB Series or other compatible Bowens mount fixtures, you can get a precise circular round light that also functions as a catch light in the eyes of your on-camera talent.
Gel Holder Support
The Light Dome II includes a gel holder that is carefully placed to maximize the capabilities of your gels while minimizing the amount of material needed from them.
High Quality Fabric Grid
The Light Dome II includes a studio grade fabric grid to help focus in your light beam angle to 40 degrees.
Universal Mount
The new Light Dome II is designed to fit with all fixtures from the Light Storm COB family. It is also compatible with a wide variety of Bowens mount lighting systems, the most common mounts used in the world of photography.

Returns are incredibly simple. Please log into your account, find your item you wish to return and follow the prompts to make a return. If you do not have an account, click here to find your order and make a return.

You will receive a full refund when you return an item in its original manufacturer’s packaging, undamaged and unmarked. If the item you are returning is priced at less than $35, you will be charged a 15% restocking fee. Please note you will not be refunded any shipping charges.

You have 30 days to make a return. During the holiday season, from November 1 to December 31, we extend the return window to 60 days.

If your order has been noticeably damaged in transit, we strongly recommend that you refuse delivery and notify us immediately. Claims for missing items or items damaged in transit must be made within 48 hours of delivery. If there is carrier damage, please contact support@focuscamera.com with your order number and a description of the damage.
