The camera captures 6144 x 3240 REDCODE RAW with 16.5 plus stops of dynamic range and records up to 80 fps at 6K, 96 fps at 5K, 120 fps at 4K, and 240 fps at 2K. Global shutter capture helps maintain image geometry during fast motion, camera movement, visual effects work, and synchronized multi camera production.
Locking Nikon Z Mount and 6K Capture
The reinforced locking Nikon Z Mount provides electronic lens communication and supports compatible Z lenses with camera controlled iris, autofocus, image stabilization, and control ring functions. REDCODE RAW recording reaches data rates up to 560 MB/s with qualified CFexpress Type B media, while dedicated Apple ProRes options extend the camera into direct editorial workflows. The body also provides 12G SDI monitoring, a 2.9 inch touchscreen, Wi-Fi, Ethernet over USB Type C, PTP synchronization, timecode, genlock, and RED Connect support.
2TB of RED PRO Media and 7 Inch Monitoring
Two 1TB RED PRO CFexpress v4 Type B cards provide 2TB of total recording capacity for the KOMODO-X platform, while the included RED PRO CFexpress v4 Type B Card Reader supports USB4 host connections up to 40 Gb/s for high speed media offload. The DSMC3 RED Touch 7 inch LCD adds a 1920 x 1200 touchscreen with 1300 cd/m2 brightness, 322 ppi pixel density, 100% DCI P3 coverage, and PageOS monitoring tools including waveform, vectorscope, histogram, false color, color picker, and pixel zoom.
Gold Mount Power, Audio, and Rigging
The RED Pro Gold Mount I/O Module mounts to the rear Micro V-Lock interface and expands the camera for full size Gold Mount batteries. It adds DC input, genlock, timecode, control, a regulated 24 V run stop output, and two 12 V auxiliary outputs, plus an operator side power display for voltage and battery percentage with compatible batteries. The DSMC3 5-Pin to Dual XLR Adapter provides two XLR inputs with mic, line, and 48 V phantom power support, while the Compact Top Handle adds a dedicated handling point with front and rear extensions, a camera trigger, and a 15 mm monitor mount.
