V-Flats have been a studio staple for decades. Now, you can take them anywhere and never worry about warping, chipping, or denting. The Westcott V-Flat is a professional light control system with a collapsible aluminum frame, washable fabrics, and a carry case. It sets up fast, packs down small, and is built to last.
Bounce, block, shape, or flag light with precision. Two 41 x 84 inches (104 x 213 cm) sides open to 82 x 84 inches (208 x 213 cm) for full-length coverage on any shoot. Swap between white and black surfaces in seconds. Use it as a background, a negative fill source, or book light.
When your shoot wraps, the V-Flat collapses into a compact 45 x 9 x 6 inches (114 x 23 x 16 cm) carry case that fits in your car, closet, or a checked bag.
Bounce for Soft Light
The white fabric bounces light onto your subject to create soft, flattering fill that reduces harsh shadows. Fold the two sides into a book light configuration and bounce light directly into it for soft, even illumination across your subject or background, a classic setup for beauty, fashion, and interview work.
Negative Fill and Flagging
Use the black fabric to absorb light, deepen shadows, and sculpt faces with contrast and dimension. Flag stray light on a video set, cut spill from a second source, or block a difficult window on location without reworking your entire setup.
Freestanding Background
The V-Flat stands independently, so you can position it anywhere as a freestanding backdrop or wedge wall. Cleanly separate your subject from a busy or unflattering environment without a backdrop stand, a wall, or extra equipment.
Collapsible Frame Built to Last
The durable silver aluminum frame handles years of assembly, teardown, and transport. It adjusts from 15 to 180 degrees to shape light precisely without moving your main source. Magnetic support feet with rubber bases keep the sides stable throughout the session.
Reusable Fabrics
The V-Flat's stretchable, machine washable fabrics do not warp, chip, or dent. Stack the white over the black or use them separately depending on your setup. Switch surfaces quickly without teardown so you can adapt as your lighting needs change.

Returns are incredibly simple. Please log into your account, find your item you wish to return and follow the prompts to make a return. If you do not have an account, click here to find your order and make a return.

You will receive a full refund when you return an item in its original manufacturer’s packaging, undamaged and unmarked. If the item you are returning is priced at less than $35, you will be charged a 15% restocking fee. Please note you will not be refunded any shipping charges.

You have 30 days to make a return. During the holiday season, from November 1 to December 31, we extend the return window to 60 days.

If your order has been noticeably damaged in transit, we strongly recommend that you refuse delivery and notify us immediately. Claims for missing items or items damaged in transit must be made within 48 hours of delivery.
