Sony FR7 Cinema Line Full-Frame PTZ Robotic Camera

The Sony FR7 Cinema Line Full-Frame Interchangeable PTZ Robotic Camera combine lens interchangeability, a full-frame image sensor, and pan/tilt/zoom (PTZ) functionality. It features an Exmor R image sensor with 10.3 effective MP and a BIONZ XR processor for superior image quality. It is compatible with Sony’s extensive E-mount lens lineup and works with remote pan/tilt/zoom control to break through location and space limitations for unprecedented creative potential.

Remotely Controlled Pan/Tilt/Zoom Mechanism

This camera can be mounted on a tripod or in any location that provides limited access so that subjects can be recorded and followed without any obstruction, thanks to its integrated remotely controllable pan/tilt mechanism. The speed of the pan and tilt can vary from 0.02 degrees/sec to 60 degrees/sec, thus supporting a wide range of precise camera movements. The pan angle ranges from -170 to +170-degree, and the tilt angle range is from -30 to +195-degree when used in an upright orientation, or from -2100 to +15-degree inverted.

Sony’s RM-IP500 Remote Controller

For multi-camera production, the FR7 camera can be used with Sony’s RM-IP500 Remote Controller for increasing creative potential. It can easily control up to 100 FR7 cameras.

Compatible with 70 E-Mount Lenses

It features a Sony E-mount and can be used with all E-mount lenses including the G Master series. It gives users comprehensive creative control through focal lengths ranging from 12mm to 1200mm. Power zoom models can be controlled remotely and provide unique framing flexibility.

Web App for Control By Tablet or PC via Web Browser

You can pan, tilt, zoom, focus, record, playback, and control all camera settings through a dedicated built-in web application from a tablet or computer web browser. This provides easy remote control for situations where the camera is mounted in hard-to-access locations or on a ceiling.

High Sensitivity up to ISO 409,600

With Base Sensitivity setting the ISO can be expanded up to 409600 when shooting in low light. In Cine EI mode it can be set to either ISO 800 or ISO 12800, through it it is possible to minimize noise while maintaining a consistent look. Further, a wide 15+ stops dynamic range prevents blown highlights and blocked shadows.

In-Camera Slow and Quick Motion

This camera allows internal slow-motion capture at QFHD resolution and 120 fps frame rate. High creativity s possible through smooth 5x slow motion.

Fast Hybrid AF with 627 Phase-Detection AF Points

Fast Hybrid AF quickly tracks and locks on a subject. With 627 selectable phase-detection AF points, it can cover an entire image area of approx. 94% vertical and 95% horizontal. This camera combines Fast Hybrid AF and pan/tilt/zoom functionality to focus on fast-moving objects precisely over a wide area.

Remotely Controllable Continuously Variable Electronic ND Filter

A built-in and electronic ND filter allow ND adjustment from 1/4 to 1/128 so that exposure can be varied. It perfectly exposes images even under changing light conditions without affecting the depth of the field shutter angle or ISO. It is possible to remote control allowing exposure control at a distance from the camera.

Custom and Cine EI Mode Shooting Modes

Custom and Cine EI Mode Shooting Modes in this camera match camera operation to the user’s workflow while maintaining consistency with other Cinema Line cameras. Custom mode allows the final look to be created in-camera, reducing the need for post-production.
