The FX6 Full-Frame Camera is a new addition to Sony’s Cinema Line up preceding the VENICE and FX9 cameras. It incorporates a back-illuminated full-frame Exmor R CMOS sensor, BIONZ XR image-processing engine, and amazing AF (autofocus) performance. It is also compatible with the wide range of Sony E-mount lenses for creative flexibility and has enhanced operability thanks to an innovative body design, extensive durability and intuitive customizability. This camera kit comes with a Sony FX6 Cinema Line Full-Frame Camera and a Sony FE 24-105mm f/4 G Lens.

Blazing Fast Readout Speed

The Sony FX6 Full-Frame Camera employs a 10.2MP back-illuminated full-frame Exmor R CMOS sensor that delivers fast data readout speed along with high sensitivity and wide dynamic range. This is further enhanced when combined with a BIONZ XR image-processing engine, providing faster processing performance and incredible real-time processing capabilities. BIONZ XR performs real-time processing of autofocus (AF), image recognition and image quality adjustments, while also handling data transfer, user interface and other camera operations. Advanced color filter array boosts color reproduction accuracy, while focal plane phase-detection AF enables solid autofocus stability and excellent precision.

High Sensitivity, Wide Dynamic Range

The sensor’s large pixel size and back-illuminated structure allows for an incredible 15+ stop wide dynamic range with high sensitivity and low noise throughout the ISO sensitivity range. The camera offers a sensitivity range of ISO 800-12,800, which is expandable up to 409,600 letting you shoot in low and very low light conditions.

Cinematic-Color with S-Cinetone

Inherited from the development of the VENICE and FX9 development, S-Cinetone look allows for beautiful images to be achieved directly in-camera. It is optimized for natural skin tones and mid-range colors, with gentle highlight roll-off, for impressive subject depiction.

4K High Frame Rate 120 fps Recording

Thanks to the high-speed readout capabilities of the image sensor and the powerful BIONZ XR processor, Sony FX6 Camera supports full-frame 4K (QFHD) recording at up to 120 fps with autofocus. For post-produced slow motion, ultra-detailed 4K (QFHD) images can be captured using full-pixel readout without binning, even at high frame rates. Beautiful full-frame bokeh can be achieved during slow motion shooting as well.

10-Bit Depth and 4:2:2 Color Sampling

Along with 4K internal recording, Sony FX6 is capable of encoding 10-bit depth and 4:2:2 color sampling with either Full-HD Long-GOP or 4K All Intra compression. This helps achieve ultimate HDR realism retaining natural gradation.

All-Intra Internal Recording

In addition to Long-GOP inter-frame compression, this full frame camera supports internal intra-frame (All-Intra) recording. XAVC 4K Intra recording compresses each frame independently at a high bitrate, which is perfect for capturing complex motion, and allowing maximum flexibility and playback performance during post-production.
