Vortex Torque Wrench

This Mounting Kit from Vortex comes complete with a Torque Wrench along with seven different bits that aid in attaching your riflescopes with ease. Adjustable in 1 in/lb increments, the Torque Wrench tool is easy to read, simple to set, and offers fast, accurate tension whenever and wherever you need it.

Vortex Pro Series 1-inch Riflescope Rings (Medium, 0.95-inch)

Vortex Pro Series 1-Inch Riflescope Rings are an essential piece of your riflescope/optic collection. Pro Series rings provide maximum reliability and strength and are machined with the highest quality. This process guarantees accuracy and consistency. They are created using a streamlined process and made lightweight and durable.

Medium Height

These riflescope rings fit 1-inch tubes and comes in low height at 0.95 inches / 24.13 mm. They are positioned at the center of the riflescope tube.

Easy to Mount

Each ring is easy to securely mount using four T-25 Torx-style socket cap screws.

Precision Construction

The Pro Series 1-inch Rings are made of precision machined 7075 T6 aluminum with a matte black anodized finish. They feature laser engraved torque specifications, robust #8 fasteners and an integrated recoil lug. Each ring fits both Weaver and Picatinny Rails.

Returns

Returns are incredibly simple. Please log into your account, find your item you wish to return and follow the prompts to make a return. If you do not have an account, click here to find your order and make a return.
You will receive a full refund when you return an item in its original manufacturer’s packaging, undamaged and unmarked. If the item you are returning is priced at less than $35, you will be charged a 15% restocking fee. Please note you will not be refunded any shipping charges. 
You have 30 days to make a return. During the holiday season, from November 1 to December 31, we extend the return window to 60 days. 
If your order has been noticeably damaged in transit, we strongly recommend that you refuse delivery and notify us immediately. Claims for missing items or items damaged in transit must be made within 48 hours of delivery. If there is carrier damage, please contact support@focuscamera.com with your order number and a description of the damage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Torque Wrench for firearm builds This torque wrench works great for building firearms and mounting scopes. This does inch pounds, not foot pounds so unless you are mounting a barrel nut, this torque wrench should be able to handle most of your firearm needs.

I used it to mount my Vortex precision matched rings as well as tightening some of the screws on my firearms per their respective torque in in/lbs. I have another manufacturer's torque wrench for some of my competition firearms that have Newton Meter torque specs.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It works! It's a torque wrench, and it does it's job. No complaints with it's functionality. The only complaint I have with it is the included bits. Of all of the allen and torx screws on all of my guns and accessories, the included ones covered maybe a quarter. So had to go out and buy an additional set of bits to cover everything. Just something to be aware of.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Most for your money I bought this tool for an armorers tool kit I was putting together. I was looking for something that was affordable, could adjust in 1 in/lb increments, had a wide in/lb range with a low starting point, and was small enough to fit in my Condor T and T pouch. This was the tool I found, fits perfectly in the bottom webbing straps of the Condor pouch. It comes calibrated from vortex (w/ calibration sticker). I have used this tool on guns, motors, electronics, and other DIY projects, because of the accuracy it can maintain at smaller torque specs. The telescoping packaging it comes in is perfect for organization and storage of other small items, should you be throwing your wrench in a kit like I did. The toruqe limit break is clear and unmistakable at all torque settings unlike some ratchet torque wrenches at smaller settings. Because its a driver it gives you more control when crossing the torque limit then a ratchet type wrench, where it is easier to overtorque because of the additional leverage, especially if you can't feel the break. Not a con but you may want to purchase a bit kit to expand this tools versatility even more, if you have multiple projects you plan to use this for. The only con I can think of, I will not deduct a star for because I believe it is by design and not a flaw, just a minor inconvince of the design. As mentioned in an earlier review, the tool uses a detent clip to hold the bits in place. This clip can be hard to overcome, I've found myself using the table to set some thinner tipped bits and pliers to remove the more stubborn ones (sparing the fingers). However the tightness of this clip ensures there is no play between the bit and the tool giving the most accuracy when torquing. If this is of concern it can be easily mitigated by simply using a magnetic bit holder extension in the torque wrench and swapping your bits to that. However depending on the material, manufacturing tolerances, and the length of the bit holder this may affect accuracy. In closing I do wish it went even higher in its adjustability range (for personal use), but this product was designed for a specific market (guns) and it fills that role well, if not completely. For the price point I think this is still the most bang for you buck out there. It should handle any project you would consider breaking it out for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than competitors Very nice torque wrench ( I love that it goes by one pound increments as my AMG requires 18 in/lbs). It is very easy to use and adjust-- very intuitive. The size is fits in my large hands well. It’s a good deal and I like this better than the Fat Wrench. My only complaint, I wish it went up to 65 in/lbs. Nifty little carrying case as well!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor craftsmanship / no attention to detail. I purchased the Vortex Torque Wrench and was dissatisfied with the quality of the product. The bits will not stay in the receiver of the wrench. When you push the bit in to the holder and then turn it facing down to torque the scope screws (or just holding the wrench in your hand) the bits fall out. The bits should either fit tighter in the wrench or should be magnetized. I am hoping the tolerances on the torque wrench itself is closer than what was put into the bits. When you buy a torque wrench you are putting effort into detail which is not what was done when the wrench was conceived and manufactured. When you put your name on it, it carries over to every product...torque wrench or scope.
