Vortex Optics Viper HD 3000 Laser Rangefinder
With a 3,000-yard maximum range and a stunning HD optical system that allows you to target big game faster at a distance, the Viper HD 3000 laser rangefinder provides you the tools to act quickly and confidently. The Viper HD 3000 has four target modes (Normal, First, Last, ELR) and two ranging modes (LOS, HCD) that allow you to range any shot on any hunt, making it ideal for the treestand and the mountains.
HD Optical System
The Viper HD 3000 features Select glass elements that have been optimized to produce a great resolution, eliminate chromatic aberration, and provide exceptional color accuracy, edge-to-edge sharpness, and light transmission.
Ranging Modes
The actual line of sight range is displayed as Line of Sight (LOS). The HCD (Horizontal Component Distance) shows the slope angle adjusted for the target distance. While panning across a landscape, the Scan Feature provides constant distance readings. This option is available in every mode.
Target Modes
Normal Mode is the default mode, which gives the target's range the best possible outcome. In most cases, this is a great option. When ranging, the First Mode shows the nearest distance. Smaller targets can be ranged in front of bigger, more reflective targets. Last Mode displays the farthest distance when ranging. Ideal for determining the range of a specific target behind a group of objects such as brush, trees, rocks, and so on. Lastly, ELR Mode is great for ranging targets at longer distances. It's best to utilize it with a tripod.
