A Perfect Hair Light or Rim Light
The Apollo Strip is designed with a narrow profile and recessed edge for focusing your light source on a defined area. This rectangular modifier produces a soft light source and makes an ideal rim, accent, or hair light. The strip features two built-in zippered entry points that allow for mounting in a vertical or horizontal position. Includes 12 x 36 inch Apollo Strip softbox with a case, full-stop diffusion panel, 40-degree egg crate grid, and case.
Simple to Setup and Use Anywhere
The convenience of an umbrella meets the control of a softbox. Built on a durable fiberglass frame, this lightweight softbox opens and closes like an umbrella for quick setup and teardown. Apollo softboxes mount to a variety of lights using a standard umbrella receptacle. No speedrings or adapters required! These lightweight modifiers are perfect for both on-location and studio photography.
Grids for Precise Light Control
This quick-collapse softbox is designed with a recessed edge for directing light output towards your subject or scene. Attach the included 40-degree egg crate grid to eliminate light spill for precise light control. With a softbox and grid, your light can illuminate your subject from behind without spilling onto your backdrop to gain stunning dimension and depth in your portraiture.
For Portable Flashes and Studio Strobes
Do you shoot with both a speedlight and strobe? Thanks to the Apollo’s versatile umbrella shaft, these modifiers can be instantly paired with both types of off-camera flashes. With these softboxes, you won’t be confined to using a single lighting style or forced into buying various modifiers.
Direct or Indirect Lighting
Like the original Apollo, the 12 x 36 inch Apollo Strip allows you to achieve direct or indirect lighting with the same modifier. By directing your light toward the diffusion front, you’ll create drastic highlights with a subtle hot spot. Positioning your light towards the back of Apollo creates an even spread of light with softer shadows. The inside of the Apollo softbox is made with highly-reflective silver fabric that maximizes light output for any situation.

Since being invented by Westcott in 1985, Apollo umbrella-style softboxes have been enhanced based upon customer requests. The latest Apollo design features a recessed edge, flexible fiberglass frame, and removable outer diffusion panel for added versatility.

You will receive a full refund when you return an item in its original manufacturer’s packaging, undamaged and unmarked. If the item you are returning is priced at less than $35, you will be charged a 15% restocking fee. Please note you will not be refunded any shipping charges.

If your order has been noticeably damaged in transit, we strongly recommend that you refuse delivery and notify us immediately. Claims for missing items or items damaged in transit must be made within 48 hours of delivery.
