Eligibility
- Open to legal residents of the United States and District of Columbia (excluding U.S. territories and possessions)
- Must be 18 years or older (19+ in Alabama and Nebraska)
- Open to photographers of all experience levels
- Photos must be captured using a Sony camera
- Images must be the entrant's original work
- Employees of Focus Camera, Sony Electronics, and affiliated companies are not eligible
- All submissions must comply with the Official Contest Rules
Photo Requirements
Submitted images must:
- Be captured during the Promotion Period
- Be photographed using a Sony camera
- Include original EXIF metadata
- Be submitted in JPEG or JPG format
- Be entered into one of the following categories:
PortraitLandscapeBird & WildlifeTravel & Street - Be the photographer's original work created specifically for this contest
- Not have been commercially published, previously entered into another contest, or previously submitted to Sony or Focus Camera
- Include any necessary model or property releases if applicable

Editing Guidelines
Basic post-processing is permitted, including:
- Exposure adjustments
- White balance
- Color correction
- Cropping
- Basic sharpening
The following are not permitted:
- AI-generated or AI-assisted imagery
- Composite images
- Heavy digital manipulation
- Excessive effects that significantly alter the original photograph
- Over-processed images that no longer represent the original scene naturally

How It Works
1. Capture
Photograph an original image using a Sony camera during the contest period.

Submit your image in one of four categories:
- Portrait
- Landscape
- Bird & Wildlife
- Travel & Street
*You may submit one unique image per category, for a maximum of four total submissions.

Upload your photo in JPEG format while preserving the original EXIF metadata.

Judging Criteria
Impact (40%)
Images that immediately capture attention while presenting a compelling subject or meaningful moment.
Technical Quality (30%)
Focus, exposure, composition, lighting, sharpness, and overall photographic execution.
Creativity (30%)
Originality, artistic vision, and a unique perspective that makes the image stand out.

The contest is open to legal U.S. residents (excluding territories and possessions) who are at least 18 years old (19+ in Alabama and Nebraska).

Yes. Basic editing and post-processing are permitted.
However, AI-generated images, composites, excessive manipulation, and heavily altered images are not allowed.

No. All submitted photographs must be captured during the contest period (July 23 – August 28, 2026).

Yes. If recognizable individuals appear in your image, you must have any required permissions or model releases.

Yes. Potential winners will be asked to provide the original image file with EXIF metadata for verification.
What happens if I win?

Potential winners will be contacted by email and/or phone on or about September 15, 2026.
To remain eligible, winners must:
- Submit the original image file
- Verify EXIF metadata
- Complete eligibility, liability, and publicity forms
- Respond within five (5) days
*Failure to respond within five days may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner.

Entries will be evaluated by a judging panel consisting of three Sponsor representatives.
