Camera Control
A highly requested feature from Shinobi users, the camera control interface has
been designed, with a focus on common settings that need to be adjusted on a
shot-by-shot basis. It harnesses the versatility of USB-C to allow for the
widest possible compatibility with most modern mirrorless and DSLR cameras. The
on-screen sliders adjust white balance, lens aperture, shutter speed and angle,
and ISO with immediate and responsive access to these settings. The red edge
display shows when the camera is recording internally, irrespective of whether
it is triggered by the camera or from the Shinobi II. It will be able to
control most Canon, Panasonic, and Sony mirrorless cameras and all Z CAM E2
series models - future plans to support cameras from Fujifilm, Nikon, OM
System, and SIGMA.
See the Bigger Picture
The camera status indicator shows the overview of the camera’s internal record
settings, battery charge, and remaining record time. The touchscreen control is
simple to navigate and is a user-friendly AtomOS 11 interface. Access familiar
monitoring tools for focus, exposure, and framing to get the perfect shot
on-set. Work under any lighting conditions with the 1500nit HDR display. Work
with a larger, brighter, high-resolution monitor. The nine grid and frame
guides are perfect for social media content creators and filmmakers alike.
Finally, it offers intuitive, easy-to-use camera control sliders for precise
exposure adjustment.
Connectivity and Power
The Shinobi II has a specialized locking cable system to ensure a solid
connection while you shoot. The HDMI In supports 4K signals up to 30p, 1080p up
to 60p. With USB-C control and power, get camera control, USB-C PD (in and
out), and on-device calibration (Calibrite probe required). Control LANC
cameras or calibrate using Atomos Calibrator on PC or Mac. It features an SD card slot for easy installation of LUTs and firmware updates via SD card.
Cable Locking System
Atomos has developed a unique and rugged locking ecosystem to maintain a secure
grip on connected HDMI and USB-C cables. With Atomos locking cables, it is the
most robust capture cable system available today and is fully compatible with
standard, non-locking cables.
Other Features
The Shinobi II overcomes the limitations of small camera displays. It uses
Atomos’ latest suite of monitoring tools. It is lightweight and adaptable, so
position your monitor to suit your rig. It has a unique cable locking system
for rock-solid connectivity. Finally, it reduces the need to frequently
navigate complex camera menus.
