Atomos Shogun 7 is a precision HDR monitor-recorder-switcher designed for the film and video professional. It can be used either as a stand-alone field monitor, recorder and switcher for event, documentary and live in-the-field storytelling or as a tool for large-scale on-set episodic TV, film and cinema productions where multiple crew members such as focus pullers, grips and cinematographers require a consistent visual reference across the field monitor ecosystem. Shogun 7's portable size lets you monitor, analyze and tag while on set and check how your content will look in your audience’s home via real-time Dolby Vision output. With Shogun 7 you’re not locked into any format, camera manufacturer or pipeline. It is a completely flexible master recording and production station.

Portability

Monitor, record, and live switch up to four HD-SDI inputs and one program stream, recording up to HDp60 ISOs x4. Easily import Atomos XML files into your NLE for instant, ready-to-edit timelines. Embedded analog and digital audio are recorded seamlessly with each stream.feed and switches between audio inputs for the on-camera audio to match the switched feed.

Capture in 4K or 2K Slow-Mo and AtomHDR Technology

With HDMI 2.0, capture up to 4Kp60 or 2K at 240p for slow-motion footage. Shogun 7’s Dynamic AtomHDR technology delivers a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio with vivid colors and deep blacks. Capture and edit in ProRes RAW, preserving full dynamic range, color accuracy, and sensor detail for maximum flexibility in post-production. Shogun 7 integrates smoothly with Final Cut Pro, Avid Media Composer, and Adobe Premiere, enabling field-to-studio workflows with ease.

480GB Internal SSD

Offering a high storage capacity in a compact design, the 480GB SE4 SATA III 2.5-Inch Internal SSD from Atomos is designed by Exascend for maximizing storage efficiency in space-constrained applications such as the Atomos Ninja, Ninja Ultra, Sumo, and Shinobi series monitors using the separately available Master Caddy II or III.

It features a storage capacity of 480GB, a 2.5 in / 7mm form factor, and a SATA III 6 Gb/s interface that delivers sequential read speeds of 555 MB/s and sequential write speeds of 530 MB/s. Other features include a 2 million hour MTBF, LDPC error correction, static and dynamic wear leveling, hardware power-off protection, 3D TLC flash memory, and DDR3 DRAM cache.
