Connect professional 12G SDI equipment to modern 100G SMPTE 2110 production networks with the Blackmagic Design SDI Expander 8x12G. This 1RU converter processes video in both directions at the same time, converting 8 independent 12G SDI inputs to IP while converting a separate set of 8 IP streams back to 12G SDI.
16 Simultaneous Conversion Channels
Eight SDI inputs and 8 SDI outputs support separate send and receive paths for cameras, recorders, switchers, replay systems, and other compatible broadcast equipment. Each 100G network pair handles 8 HD or Ultra HD senders and receivers. Supported SDI rates include 1.5G, 3G, 6G, and 12G, with video formats through 2160p60.
Redundant 100G IP Networking
Two QSFP28 100G Ethernet connections support SMPTE 2022 7 redundant delivery across separate SMPTE 2110 networks. A dedicated 1G Ethernet connection provides NMOS control, configuration, and firmware updates. Supported NMOS functions include IS 04 discovery and registration, IS 05 connection management, natural grouping, and receiver capability reporting.
Integrated Monitoring and Reliable Power
The front panel includes a 2.2-inch color display, speaker, headphone connection, buttons, and a spin knob for monitoring sources and configuring destinations. Dual internal power supplies and two IEC power inputs support redundant AC operation. The rackmount chassis fits within one rack unit for broadcast facilities, mobile production systems, and machine rooms.

You will receive a full refund when you return an item in its original manufacturer’s packaging, undamaged and unmarked. If the item you are returning is priced at less than $35, you will be charged a 15% restocking fee. Please note you will not be refunded any shipping charges.
