The Blackmagic Design ATEM SDI is a compact four-input live production switcher for multicamera video, interviews, presentations, and live events. It features four 3G-SDI inputs with automatic format conversion and synchronization, two SDI program outputs, and USB webcam output for compatible computer streaming and recording software. Its built-in control panel provides direct camera switching, while ATEM Software Control offers additional production tools.
Four SDI Inputs with Automatic Conversion
Connect four compatible SDI cameras or video sources without requiring every input to use the same supported HD format. Each 3G-SDI input includes frame rate and format conversion with automatic synchronization. The switcher supports HD video up to 1080p60 and provides two SDI program outputs for compatible monitors, recorders, and other production equipment.
Built-In Video Effects and Graphics
Create professional-looking productions with picture in picture, green screen chroma key, and transition effects. One upstream keyer, one downstream keyer, and a digital video effects processor provide flexible compositing options. The integrated media player stores up to 20 still images for titles, logos, and other graphics.
Fairlight Audio Mixing
The integrated Fairlight audio mixer combines embedded audio from the four SDI inputs with two 3.5 mm stereo audio inputs. Each analog connection supports plug-in microphone power. The six-input, two-channel mixer includes level controls, audio follow video, a six-band parametric equalizer, compressor, noise gate, and limiter. Adjustable analog input delay helps align audio with video.
USB Webcam Output and External Control
The USB Type-C 2.0 connection lets the ATEM SDI operate as a webcam source for compatible computer applications. ATEM Software Control for Mac and Windows provides access to switching, audio mixing, graphics, and configuration settings. Ethernet supports network software control and compatible external hardware panels. Direct hardware streaming, external USB recording, and multiview monitoring are not supported on this model.
