The EF 400mm f/2.8L IS III USM lens offers you the superb image quality of a Canon L series super telephoto in a new, lightweight design that makes it the lightest lens in its class. With an extra-long 400mm focal length that delivers breathtaking optics and image quality, the EF 400mm f/2.8L is a revolutionary super telephoto lens. Combining sharp optics with high operability, professionals and advanced photographers can take the EF 400mm f/2.8L IS III USM anywhere to capture masterful shots of nature, sports, and beyond. Special Air Sphere Coating and Super Spectra Coating reduce unwanted ghosting and flare.
Construction
The EF 400mm f/2.8L IS III USM lens is comprised of 17 lens elements in 13 groups. A Super UD (ultra-low dispersion) element offers improved image quality by greatly reducing color fringing and chromatic aberrations. Super Spectra Coating (SSC) and Air Sphere Coatings (ASC) minimize ghosting and flare. Optical placement of the lens construction has been improved to bring the center of gravity closer to the rear. This allows you to position your lens more easily for fast framing. Increased Heat Shielding reduces the thermal effects on the lens to maintain quality throughout the life of the lens.
Image Stabilization
The Canon EF 400mm f/2.8L IS III USM lens features a dynamic 5.0-stop optical image stabilization system with 3 distinct IS modes to help you find the perfect image every time. Standard single-shot mode gives you simply perfect still images. Panning-optimized mode gives you blur-free images across a scene. A third IS mode only activates when you are using the exposure. Shake reduction for up to 5 shutter speed stops helps provide reliable handheld performance and clear image detail in low-light situations or at lower ISOs.
Control Ring
A customizable electronic manual focusing ring ensures you get just the right shot at just the right moment. You can precisely and quickly adjust the focus with three sensitivity levels. You can fine-tune your focus manually even when autofocus is in use.
Durability
The EF 400mm lens was built for excellent performance in the toughest of conditions. This lens was built with a magnesium and titanium construction for a durable and lighter-weight design. Fluorine coating was placed along the barrel to keep soiling, smears, and fingerprints to a minimum. The EF 400mm f/2.8L IS III USM Lens is dust and water-resistant to protect against difficult weather conditions.

You will receive a full refund when you return an item in its original manufacturer’s packaging, undamaged and unmarked. If the item you are returning is priced at less than $35, you will be charged a 15% restocking fee. Please note you will not be refunded any shipping charges.

If your order has been noticeably damaged in transit, we strongly recommend that you refuse delivery and notify us immediately. Claims for missing items or items damaged in transit must be made within 48 hours of delivery.
