Celestron’s line of computerized telescopes offers users an amazing stargazing experience. The powerful lenses provide breathtaking views of the night sky while the preprogrammed library of celestial objects combined with a GPS system and motorized mount make it easy for you to quickly locate any object you want to observe even if it’s invisible to the naked eye. However, all of these features require power to function so you can either keep a large supply of batteries on hand which costs a lot of money, or buy an AC adapter which means you’re tethered to an outlet all night. Neither of these options is particularly appealing if you enjoy moving your telescope to different locations, so a better alternative is Celestron’s PowerTank Lithium power pack.
High Capacity Battery
The PowerTank is a high capacity battery that connects to your telescope and provides enough power to keep you watching the sky all night long. The PowerTank also has two USB ports so you can charge smartphones, cameras, tablets, or other portable devices. Additionally, the power pack has a built-in flashlight to get you where you want to go in the dark.
Rugged, Long-Lasting Design
The PowerTank battery is built to last as long as your telescope. Its lithium phosphate chemistry means it has an un-recharged shelf life of 10 years and can be charged and discharged 2000 times. The physical design of the battery makes it weatherproof and dustproof and it can withstand higher temperatures than traditional lithium-ion batteries. The chemicals used in this lithium phosphate battery pack are environmentally friendly phosphates and don’t pose a fire hazard if the pack gets punctured.
All-Purpose Power Solution
Not only can the PowerTank provide energy for your Celestron telescope. It can also power other devices you have with you in the field. It has two USB ports, a 1000mA, and a 2100mA, that can be used to charge smartphones, tablets, GPS units, digital cameras, or any other mobile device with a USB port. The battery also powers an internal flashlight so you can see what you’re doing as you’re setting up your telescope in the dark.

Returns are incredibly simple. Please log into your account, find your item you wish to return and follow the prompts to make a return. If you do not have an account, click here to find your order and make a return.

You will receive a full refund when you return an item in its original manufacturer’s packaging, undamaged and unmarked. If the item you are returning is priced at less than $35, you will be charged a 15% restocking fee. Please note you will not be refunded any shipping charges.

You have 30 days to make a return. During the holiday season, from November 1 to December 31, we extend the return window to 60 days.

If your order has been noticeably damaged in transit, we strongly recommend that you refuse delivery and notify us immediately. Claims for missing items or items damaged in transit must be made within 48 hours of delivery.
