Decimator Version 2 Simultaneously Scales SDI to HDMI and NTSC/PAL with De-Embedded Analogue Audio

The Decimator Version 2 simultaneously scales SDI to both HDMI and NTSC/PAL offers a choice of NTSC or PAL output, auto detects 3G, HD, or SD (26 formats are supported), and can handle switching of synchronous sources. Low latency 3G/HD to SD Down-conversion with ARC (aspect ratio conversion) of 16:9 to 16:9 Anamorphic, 16:9 to 4:3 Letterbox, or 16:9 to 4:3 Center Cut (crop to 4:3).

Also features SD Pass-through and full 10-bit data path and multipoint interpolation.

Design

The Decimator 2 design allows you to view any format of SDI on a composite or HDMI monitor with de-embedded audio. Scale either output simultaneously or perform aspect ratio conversion on the HDMI output.

Control

Control either via USB on a Windows app or on-unit using the dip switch.

Auto

Auto detects 3G, HD, or SD (26 Formats in total) and can handle switching of synchronous sources.

Scaling HDMI and Composite Outputs

Simultaneous scaling on both the HDMI and Composite outputs with a maximum delay of 1 input frame. HDMI output with optional full scaling and aspect ratio conversion.

Down-Converted Composite Output

Down-converted Composite output with NTSC or PAL is selectable for 3G/HD inputs, SD will be passed unchanged, low latency 3G/HD to SD Down-conversion with ARC of either 16:9 to 16:9 anamorphic, 16:9 to 4:3 Letterbox and 16:9 to 4:3 Centre Cut. Full 10-bit data path and multipoint interpolation and 16 times over-sampling for composite output.

16-Channel Audio

Full 16-Channel Audio metering is displayed on the HDMI output with any of the 4 audio groups individually selectable, vertical or horizontal bars, AES/EBU, VU, Extended VU, BBC, EBU, DIN, and NORDIC Scales, bar and float, bar only or float only, transparency adjustment, separate bar and float ballistics control, adjustable reference level, red, yellow and green range adjustment, bar thickness adjustment, and margin adjustment.

Adjustable Graticules Generator

Adjustable graticules generator is displayed on the HDMI output with separate enables for safe action, safe title and centre cross, adjustable position for either safe action or safe title, adjustable colors for safe action, safe title, and centre cross.

Text Overlays

Text overlays are displayed on the HDMI output with adjustable foreground and background colors, adjustable 16-character text, and current input format status.
