Gitzo's Systematic tripods are modular, with a flat centre disk that can be interchanged for centre columns, levelling bases and other components. Because they have leg angle settings but no column as standard, Systematic tripods are all capable of near-groud level shooting. Leg tubes are in 6X carbon fibre with Gitzo's efficient G-locks. The GT2542LS is a lightweight, compact ''long 4-section'' tripod in Gitzo's smallest Series 2, designed for excellent strength and torsional rigidity under loads of up to 25kg (55lb) and with DSLRs and lenses up to 300mm. The GT2542LS is the tallest of the Series 2 Systematic tripods and reaches eye level when fully open.
Anti Leg Rotation (ALR) System
The Anti Leg Rotation system makes it quick and easy to open and close the tripod. Simply turn all of the locking rings at once and the whole leg can be pulled out in seconds.
G-Lock Design
The G-Lock mechanism has been completely redesigned in order to achieve a 20% increase in rigidity, faster operation and stronger, safer locking. G-Lock's special design also provides a ingravity lockin effect: the higher the load applied vertically to the leg, the stronger the lock.
1mm Gitzo 6X Carbon Fiber Tube
Gitzo was able to develop a six-crossed multilayer carbon fiber 30% lighter than the previous 1.5mm generation that features the same exceptional performance of stability and vibration absorption and unbeatable quality.
Performance Design
Performance design allows the legs to be set individually at 24°, 55° and 90° to cover every angle you want to shoot.
Removable Leg Tips
Removable self-locking rubber leg tips are interchangeable with Gitzo universal accessories such as the big foot, long spike, etc.

You will receive a full refund when you return an item in its original manufacturer’s packaging, undamaged and unmarked. If the item you are returning is priced at less than $35, you will be charged a 15% restocking fee. Please note you will not be refunded any shipping charges.

You have 30 days to make a return. During the holiday season, from November 1 to December 31, we extend the return window to 60 days.

If your order has been noticeably damaged in transit, we strongly recommend that you refuse delivery and notify us immediately. Claims for missing items or items damaged in transit must be made within 48 hours of delivery.
