The Irix Cine 45mm T1.5 lens gives filmmakers a natural perspective with slightly wider framing than a traditional 50mm focal length. Built for Canon EF cameras and full-frame coverage, this white special edition combines T1.5 transmission with precise manual control and an imperial focus distance scale. Reduced focus breathing helps maintain more consistent framing when shifting focus between subjects.
Optical Design for Detailed Cinema Work
The optical system uses 11 elements arranged in 9 groups, including 4 high refraction elements, 1 low dispersion element, and 1 aspherical element. A 9-blade iris provides smooth aperture adjustment from T1.5 to T22 and supports controlled background blur. The internal focusing system maintains the physical lens length while focusing.
Production Focused Manual Controls
The focus ring rotates through 180 degrees and uses standard 0.8 M gearing with 119 teeth. The aperture ring offers 75 degrees of rotation with 0.8 M gearing and 110 teeth. Laser-engraved UV-reactive markings improve visibility, while the imperial distance scale supports productions that work in feet-based focusing measurements.
Rig Friendly Construction
An aluminum and magnesium alloy housing keeps the Canon EF version at 1129 g. The lens measures 112 x 97 mm and provides a 95 mm front diameter plus an 86 mm filter thread. Five rubber O-rings provide weather sealing, while the standardized front and geared controls help the lens integrate with cinema accessories and support equipment.

You will receive a full refund when you return an item in its original manufacturer’s packaging, undamaged and unmarked. If the item you are returning is priced at less than $35, you will be charged a 15% restocking fee. Please note you will not be refunded any shipping charges.
