Its fast T1.5 aperture supports selective focus and expressive subject separation when available light is limited. Full frame coverage extends across sensors with a diagonal of up to 43.3 mm, while the optical design is prepared for detailed 8K production.
Controlled Cinematic Rendering
An 11 blade rounded iris produces smooth out of focus areas and natural transitions around the subject. The corrected optical design keeps distortion low, helping straight lines and environmental details remain visually consistent. Minimal focus breathing supports more stable framing as focus shifts between subjects, making the lens useful for deliberate focus pulls and emotionally driven close coverage.
Production Ready Manual Controls
The focus ring provides 180 degrees of rotation for measured adjustments, while the aperture ring rotates through 75 degrees. Both rings use standard 0.8 M gearing for compatibility with common cinema focus and lens control systems. Laser engraved imperial distance markings use UV reactive paint for improved visibility in production environments. A 23.6 inch minimum focusing distance gives operators room to capture tighter compositions and facial details.
Flexible Accessory Integration
The lens features an 86 mm front filter thread, a 95 mm front accessory diameter, and compatibility with Irix Edge magnetic filters. Its consistent physical layout supports use with gimbals, follow focus equipment, and the Irix Matte Box IQ. Weather sealed construction uses 4 rubber O rings, including 2 around the PL Mount, to help protect the lens during demanding indoor and outdoor productions.

You will receive a full refund when you return an item in its original manufacturer’s packaging, undamaged and unmarked. If the item you are returning is priced at less than $35, you will be charged a 15% restocking fee. Please note you will not be refunded any shipping charges.

If your order has been noticeably damaged in transit, we strongly recommend that you refuse delivery and notify us immediately.
