The Irix 45mm f/1.4 Dragonfly brings a distinctive natural perspective to Canon EF photography. The 45mm focal length will let you capture the world more creatively, giving photographers room to create portraits, environmental details, street scenes, landscapes, and travel images without an exaggerated wide angle look. The fast f/1.4 aperture supports low light shooting and selective focus, while nine rounded aperture blades help create smooth transitions outside the focused area.
Precise Manual Focus Control
A textured manual focus ring with a 140 degree rotation provides the travel needed for careful adjustments. In camera focus confirmation helps verify the selected distance through the camera body. The dedicated Focus Lock function holds the focus ring at a chosen position, making it useful for repeated compositions, zone focusing, studio setups, or maintaining infinity focus during landscape photography.
Electronic Canon EF Communication
The Canon EF version communicates electronically with compatible camera bodies. Aperture settings are controlled directly from the camera, and the lens supports PASM exposure modes. Exposure settings can also be recorded in EXIF data, combining the deliberate feel of manual focus with familiar camera based exposure control.
Dragonfly Construction for Demanding Shoots
The Dragonfly body combines reinforced metal and composite elements with a scratch resistant finish, engraved markings, and a textured focus ring. Sealing in four key areas helps protect the lens against dust and moisture. The optical construction uses 11 elements in 9 groups, including one aspherical element, and limits distortion to 0.5 percent. A 77mm front thread supports compatible screw in filters for creative and protective applications.

Returns are incredibly simple. Please log into your account, find your item you wish to return and follow the prompts to make a return. If you do not have an account, click here to find your order and make a return.

You will receive a full refund when you return an item in its original manufacturer’s packaging, undamaged and unmarked. If the item you are returning is priced at less than $35, you will be charged a 15% restocking fee. Please note you will not be refunded any shipping charges.

If your order has been noticeably damaged in transit, we strongly recommend that you refuse delivery and notify us immediately. Claims for missing items or items damaged in transit must be made within 48 hours of delivery.
