Go unnoticed and capture photos, making great pictures even better with the Leica M10-P Digital Rangefinder Camera. The M10-P builds on the Leica M10, bringing the quiet unobtrusiveness of the Leica M series to a new level, while still offering the same 24MP, full-frame CMOS sensor, an easy-access ISO dial at the top of the camera with a wide sensitivity range of 100 to 50,000 ISO, and the latest generation, state-of-the-art Leica Maestro-II image processor.
Leica M10-P
Leica has removed the red dot from the front of the camera, instead engraving the Leica logo at the top, for a camera that you can use in stealth. The M10-P camera boasts a whisper quiet shutter sound – the quietest shutter noise of a Leica M series camera, vital for conditions that require silence. The M10-P rangefinder camera is the first M with a touchscreen display allowing you to zoom in on your shot for accurate focus. Lastly, The M10-P includes an electronic level in the camera that will show you if your camera is straight, enabling you to get perfect shots without a tripod.
24MP, Full-Frame CMOS Sensor with Maestro-II Image Processor
The latest-generation Leica Maestro-II image processor of the Leica M10-P digital camera reflects advanced processor technology. In combination with a 24MP full-frame CMOS sensor ensures that all exposures fulfill the promise made by Leica: pictures that captivate with exceptional quality and brilliance. As a result, the Leica M10-P delivers images with low digital noise levels and true-to-life detail, even at ISO values as high as 50,000.
ISO Sensitivity
One of the most striking changes in the case of the Leica M10, and preserved in the M10-P, is the ISO setting dial on the top plate. The M10-P allows all essential shooting parameters such as distance, aperture, exposure time and ISO values to be preselected without using the menu – or even switching on the camera. The ISO sensitivity ranges to values between 100 and 50,000 and also brings significantly improved noise characteristics in exposures captured at higher ISO values. This allows for even better control and even more discreet photography.
Focus Made Easy
The Live View function of the Leica M10-P offers two convenient focusing methods. Focus Peaking automatically marks sharply focused edges as colored lines and Live View offers the ability to magnify the subject on the monitor screen. In conjunction with the touchscreen display, this makes focusing easier and more accurate than ever. In the Leica M10-P, the visibility of these contrasting lines has been improved against the previous generation and now enables even more convenient focusing assessment to ensure images with outstanding sharpness.
Improved Viewfinder/Rangefinder
To improve the view of the subject, the field of view has been enlarged by 30% and the magnification factor has been increased to 0.73x. In addition to this, the eye-relief distance has also been significantly increased. Thanks to a 50% increase in this distance, the viewfinder is much more convenient to use, particularly for photographers who wear glasses.
Wireless Connectivity
The Leica M10-P has an integrated WLAN module. This allows pictures to be sent conveniently to iOS devices wireless and shared online. It also enables remote control of the Leica M10-P by WLAN with a smartphone and the Leica M-App. When necessary, you can even use your smart device to control the camera. Shutter speed and even shutter release can be controlled remotely, making it easy to shoot from unusual angles and avoid camera shake when shooting with longer shutter speeds.
