The Makita GRH07Z 40V max XGT brushless cordless rotary hammer brings 2.7 foot-pounds of impact energy to concrete drilling and chipping without a power cord. It accepts SDS PLUS bits and reaches 0 to 980 revolutions per minute and 0 to 5,000 blows per minute. The D-handle design supports overhead, downward, and hard-to-reach horizontal applications, while three operating modes cover rotation only, hammering with rotation, and hammering only.
Power and Control for Concrete Work
Constant speed control automatically adds power under load to help maintain working speed. AFT electronically shuts off the motor if bit rotation is suddenly forced to stop. A torque-limiting clutch disengages the gears during a bind to help prevent gear damage. The electric brake and variable speed trigger give the operator added control when repositioning the tool or matching speed to the task.
AVT Comfort and Dust Management
AVT uses an internal counterbalance that moves opposite the drive piston to reduce vibration. Vibration-absorbing back and side handles add another layer of comfort during demanding work. For dust management, the GRH07Z works with the optional DX15 on-board HEPA extractor. AWS capability can also provide wireless start and stop communication with compatible Makita dust extractors when the separately sold transmitter is installed.
Built for Demanding Jobsite Use
XPT is engineered for improved dust and water resistance in harsh jobsite conditions. A built-in LED light helps illuminate the work area, and multiple bit angles support more comfortable positioning. The 1 1/8 inch concrete drilling capacity suits mechanical, electrical, plumbing, concrete, utility, and maintenance work. This is a tool-only configuration, so the battery, charger, dust extractor, and AWS transmitter are sold separately.
