The Negative Supply 4x5 Light Source Basic MK2 (99 CRI) is a reliable, high-accuracy light source designed for scanning 35mm, 120, and 4x5 film. Even Illumination
The Light Source Basic MK2 delivers uniform brightness across the entire film area, preventing light falloff when scanning 4x5 film. This ensures consistent results and accurate image reproduction across large-format scans.
High Color Accuracy
Optimized for color film scanning, the 99 CRI output provides precise color representation. The TLCI value, averaged from the MacBeth 24 Color Checker Chart, maintains color fidelity for critical scanning work over long sessions.
Increased Brightness
This model is over 2 stops brighter than the previous generation. The improved internal acrylic element boosts overall light output, making scans faster and more reliable without sacrificing accuracy.
Film Compatibility
Designed to work with 35mm, 120, and 4x5 films, the Light Source Basic MK2 accommodates adapter plates for film carriers and can be used to mask light from below the film plane.
Compact and Durable Design
The custom-designed internal acrylic panel, combined with a compact and heat-dissipating form factor, ensures long scanning sessions without overheating. The carbon composite construction adds rigidity and durability.
Accessory Compatibility

Returns are incredibly simple. Please log into your account, find your item you wish to return and follow the prompts to make a return. If you do not have an account, click here to find your order and make a return.

You will receive a full refund when you return an item in its original manufacturer’s packaging, undamaged and unmarked. If the item you are returning is priced at less than $35, you will be charged a 15% restocking fee. Please note you will not be refunded any shipping charges.

You have 30 days to make a return. During the holiday season, from November 1 to December 31, we extend the return window to 60 days.

If your order has been noticeably damaged in transit, we strongly recommend that you refuse delivery and notify us immediately. Claims for missing items or items damaged in transit must be made within 48 hours of delivery. If there is carrier damage, please contact support@focuscamera.com with your order number and a description of the damage.
