The Sigma 24-105mm F4 DG HSM Art lens is a premium lens designed for full frame cameras and will also work with APS-C sensors with an effective increase in focal length. The 24-105mm F4 is a highly versatile focal range and staple everyday lens. Sigma’s 24-105mm f4 includes proprietary Sigma technology including our Hyper Sonic Motor (HSM) which ensures fast, quiet and accurate autofocusing. The use of Thermally Composite Material (TSC) reduces size and weight and as part of the new Global Vision design, it is compatible with the Sigma USB dock for further customization and the new Mount Conversion Service.

Thanks to SIGMA's inner focus technologies, adjusting the focus and zoom rings does not change the length of the lens, resulting in excellent handling. Since the front of the lens does not move, the lens can be used with a circular polarizing filter.

The Sigma 24-105mm F4 DG HSM Art lens is compatible with a Sigma USB Dock - Use SIGMA Optimization Pro, a special software that updates the lens firmware and adjusts parameters, such as focus and full-time MF.

The Sigma USB dock works in conjunction with Sigma Optimization Pro software in order to connect a photographers lens to their personal computer to update firmware, calibrate the lens and other customizations such as the focus parameter. The dock is only compatible with the Sigma Art, Contemporary, and Sports line lenses featuring a Nikon F lens mount. For the Sports category, changes can be made to: Autofocus speed, focus limiters, manual focus override and optical stabilization functionality. Updating the firmware can be done via the internet. Sigma Photo Pro is available for Mac and PC computers.

AF Speed and Optical Stabilizer Modes

For all lines of lenses, there are four categories for prime lenses and 16 categories (four options for focal length, four options for shooting distance) for zoom lenses available. These categories allow you to set up certain focusing settings to better suit your personal shooting style. If using a Sports line lens, additional lens configurations are also available. The dock features three different AF speed modes to modify how quickly the lens changes focus. You can also constrain focus distances within a specific range to suit your personal shooting habits.
