Its image circle approaches 65mm, providing coverage for ARRI ALEXA 65 and 265 Open Gate capture while preserving sharp detail across the frame. The 16mm focal length creates dramatic spatial depth for architecture, landscapes, interiors, and close foreground compositions.
Large Format Coverage with Controlled Geometry
A precision optical design uses 16 elements in 12 groups, including 3 aspherical elements, to maintain resolution from the center toward the edges. Strong chromatic aberration control supports natural color reproduction, while correction for barrel and pincushion distortion helps structured lines remain visually controlled. On an ARRI ALEXA 65 or 265 in Open Gate, the lens delivers a diagonal field of view exceeding 122 degrees.
Close Focus for Immersive Perspective
A 0.25 meter minimum focus distance lets cinematographers place subjects close to the lens while retaining a broad view of the environment. The T2.9 maximum aperture supports available light work and meaningful subject separation at close distances. A 10 blade diaphragm produces smooth out of focus rendering through the T2.9 to T22 range.
Professional Cine Handling
The PL mount body includes standard 0.8 MOD gearing and a 300 degree focus rotation for precise manual pulls or motor control. You will receive a full refund when you return an item in its original manufacturer’s packaging, undamaged and unmarked. If the item you are returning is priced at less than $35, you will be charged a 15% restocking fee. Please note you will not be refunded any shipping charges.

If your order has been noticeably damaged in transit, we strongly recommend that you refuse delivery and notify us immediately.
